A great first date doesn't have to be perfect—it just needs good conversation, lots of laughter, and genuine curiosity about each other. A walk by the water, a cozy café, or a nice dinner where time simply flies by sounds just right to me.

My ideal first date starts with a great conversation over dinner at an elegant restaurant, followed by a relaxed walk through a beautiful part of the city or along the waterfront. No pressure, no games—just good chemistry, laughter and the chance to discover whether we’re as interesting in person as we are online.

A first date that’s all about getting to know each other—sharing meaningful conversations, lots of laughter, and enjoying each other’s company without any pressure. I believe the best connections start with kindness, honesty, and simply being ourselves.

On the water or at the beach.... In a boat or in the sand! As long as it's with you having a great time. Sounds like the beginning of the rest of my life

I love a great restaurant, but I’m equally happy cooking dinner at home with good wine, music, and the right company. DC has plenty of hidden gems - wineries, rooftops, great food, and easy weekend adventures. The wineries aren’t exactly Napa, but they’re a lot more fun with a beautiful woman beside you.

I'd love to meet somewhere we can have a good conversation to get to know each other and see if theirs a genuine connection. A nice dinner, a café, a walk in the park or picnic would be nice.
My intention is to meet my life partner and enjoy a peaceful, happy life together.

I think dinner is an ideal date. Somewhere not too loud, no live music. I don’t do bars, I’m not opposed to getting a drink at a restaurant but I’m not going to meet someone in a bar. Conversation is key. Being able to flow with conversation and connection. I think it’s hard to really get to know someone if you meet for an activity to a sporting event. Save that for later dates. I would also be open to a coffee date.

“I’d love a relaxed dinner somewhere with a nice view maybe beachfront with good food, so we can actually talk and get to know each other without rushing. Somewhere like Steki or The Orangery has the right vibe cozy, easygoing, good food. Open to your ideas too if you’ve got a spot in mind!“

Maybe a nice dinner to get to know each other better.
I prefer to talk on the phone or FaceTime to see if we have a connection.

My perfect dinner would be by the beach or in a beautiful architectural setting. But what matters most is having an interesting person sitting across from me — someone with whom the conversation flows and the evening becomes memorable.

For me, the perfect first date isn't about how expensive or extravagant it is, it's about the thought behind it.
I love it when a man puts a little creativity into planning something simple but meaningful. A cozy café, a walk by the water, a quiet wine bar, a scenic picnic, or anywhere we can relax and really talk without too many distractions sounds perfect to me.
The first date is about getting to know each other, sharing stories, laughing, and seeing if there's a genuine connection. If we leave feeling like we could have talked for another few hours, I'd call that a very successful first date.
