I am a retired serial entrepreneur with 40 years experience in business start-up and development across multiple industries. With a focus on team building, communications strategy, marketing execution & profitable revenue generation, I have authored successful business plans; co-founding, raising capital and managing companies in several diverse markets including Renewable Energy, High Tech Marketing, Professional Golf and Molecular Diagnostics.
I try to apply Ray Dalio "Principles" into my work and life.
I try to use logic over emotion when I make decisions.
I study creative ways to add value to an evolving business model. I surround myself with people who are smarter than myself and I listen to them.
I grew up in a very simple non aggressive family. Found my own way at a young age as an entrepreneur. I bought candy from the local convenience store and resold it at school for a tidy profit.
Worked all my life from paper delivery to bartending cross country.
I created a very adventurous life and am grateful for all my experiences!
I am now an Executive Accounts manager and live very comfortably.
My military career has been a great success. Serving my country has been quite an honor. It's been great to see the world. I have been to many countries. Many people don't get to travel the world as I have. I will be able to tell you many stories. I also wrote a fitness book. That's one of my favorite accomplishments to date. Being an author was always a dream of mines.
By generally working exceedingly hard and not for remunerative aspects alone. I loved what I did. I specialized in 18th and early 19th century structures and started my own Design/Build Co in my late 20s. My clientele were all high net worth individuals. I was always passionate about the problem solving, period accuracy coupled with ameliorating all the aspects of modern day living requirements
while remaining sensitive to architectural style . Success came quickly and my clients were happy and business boomed. I have retired from that and now play/restore wooden sailboats as a hobby when not traveling or sailing.
Achievement...I currently care for both a child with developmental delay and an Elderly Southern Lady for the past four years. I love learning from them because both are part of generational spectrum. At the end of the day we all need to be loved in a way were it matters and it is life saving.
Hard work, determination & focused. I am very self motivated so I went out and worked. I spoke on a lot of stages and places teaching about health. I hired people at the right times to do things I was doing that they could do better.
Perseverance, honesty and respect. I started as intern in the stock exchange for (then) Citigroup trading Japanese Dollar Warrants. Then worked with McKinsey on revamping a Swiss bank, became head of acquisitions of UHNW and later started my own asset management company. This all evolved and now I help startups with raising capital, shaping their focus and more. If I see a good business idea that focuses on sustainability, and ethics, I gladly support it if I believe I can help them. My office is basically my phone and my clients are all over the globe.
I was able to pick the right Carter path early in life and was in the industry for many years. I had a passion for developing and marketing business and see them grow , a motivational speaker I listened to once said. Sometimes in life you just have to jump and get your wings on the way down.
I have Skincare spa this is my business, pleasure, happiness, and joy. I make a lot of friends which one from beginning was my lovely clients, now we are best friend. I put my heart to make people happy, healthy and beautiful. I love my job.
To work hard, find ways to achieve my success, and always ask for advice on anything I may struggle on In order to not have mishaps happen along they way to success. To also some company to get to my success would be helpful
Absolutely love my Job!!
The team I work with, and the customers I am blessed to partner with make every day ,an opportunity to improve customers work experience, and enhance their patients lives!
Embrace the passion.
I have found that the best way to be successful in business is to hire good, trustworthy employees, treat them well, and make them feel that they are part of the team. Many people are motivated by money, but nothing makes somebody feel more appreciated than a nice pat on the back for a job well done.
Launched my own jewelry line in 2012, opened my first boutique in 2016, and opened 5 boutiques within 3 years after that. Voted Best Boutique in PA! Just purchased a warehouse so we can grow our online business. App launches soon and it's gonna be a game changer!
I suspect that my story is a lot like other millionaires on this site. I worked hard to get into a good career, I saved and invested as much as I could in my retirement accounts, and I didn't develop expensive habits.
