Nothing is offensive if two people are adults and agree it's what they both want and it doesn't hurt anyone.

If you want a trophy wife then make it a point in your bio and don't get offended when the pretty girls ask about all your possessions. Nothing wrong with what makes you happy.

It's one thing to be treated like a dummy, and to have a man proud to have you on his arm and show you off.

i would find it offensive to be treated like an idiot just to be a "trophy wifeelers feel everyone deserves to find true love.  And no one is perfect.  Sadly this world obsesses over the symmetry and "perfections" of the gorgeous individuals, making it appear socially acceptable to have a fake relationship just to have a pretty face next to you.  I'm aware that there needs to be physical attraction in all relationships, but I require a true connection between myself and anyone I date, and need a great personality too.

    I'm sorry - what's a trophy wife?
Is it where a military leader kidnaps the daughter of his rival and forces her to marry him and keeps her as a trophy of his victory?  I would think that is not very relevant in this day and age.

    Quoting author:

Men look really dumb with a trophy wife! I guess that's their way to feel significant.
I always wonder what kind of conversations they have over the dinner table.

OK, let's put it in these terms...

Let's say you do a lot of entertaining and you are going to go buy new furniture for your living room.  You get to the store and there are two sets to choose from.  They both cost exactly the same.  They are both equally comfortable.  The difference is that one is hideous and would certainly cause you to be socially ostracised while the other would be accepted by 80% of your social peers without so much as a comment.

Which living room set would you buy?

I think men that want  "Trophy" wives are still going through that age where they are trying to impress friends, family and people that they work with. I also think women can just be as bad these days
For me I want to spend my life with a man whom will be my best friend, and my lover, I want the passion and for him to be there when times are hard. I am not saying that younger women are not after the same thing, but with certain women "Trophy" women start to have an expectation on what they will want from that relationship, from the best clothes, holidays, holiday homes around the world, flying first class etc....what happens when the money starts to go, or his business goes under?
I guess I am old fashioned, I work full time, enjoy looking after my man from running him a bath after a busy day at work, cooking his dinner and listen to him about his day, support him where I can and just be his best friend somebody he can trust with his life. So I am not a Trophy wive as I like what I have and just want somebody to share my life with, does that make me sound really sad and pathetic? Yes it does......

Obviously David Blackaby has never been to a yacht show. LOL

David Blackaby, a professor of economics at Swansea University in South Wales, United Kingdom has found in his research that the trophy wife is becoming a thing of the past.  Both men and women are marrying similarly.  In other words, rich are marrying rich, beautiful marrying beautiful.

I know some trophy wives. They almost all have boyfriends on the side. I almost have thought it's a think it's a requirement or rite of passage to have a younger man on the side.
If a 50yr old is married to a 20 something year old female, can he truly fulfill her needs daily?
I know of a 60+ year old who married a female in her late 20s, and they have a toddler. The man is over 60 years old so I can't see him out tossing the football around with the kid in another 15 years, and in 20 years his wife will still not be 50 years old. The guy is happy he can get a young woman, and the young woman is probably figuring out how much she's going to inherit and be able to enjoy when her hubby kick the bucket. In the end it really look more like a sugar daddy - sugar baby type of relationship.

Let's just say this, if a 50 year old male is looking for an 18 or 20 year old female, other than sex, what could he possibly have in common with her. So to marry someone that young is an "ego" booster for him. So if she becomes a trophy wife, I think that is ok, but
if you really think about it, he is marrying for her assets and therefore, she should be compensated for it!

I know a few trophy wives. All except for one has a boyfriend on the side....

Two wrongs don't make a right though so I am not saying this is ok.

TROPHY wives eventually become ATROPHY wives.

As far as offensive for a Trophy Girl. I would not be with that man. I would just say " See Ya Got to go" as i am leaving.

all men want to think that their wives are their better half; all men want to think that their wives are trophy wives though not in a negative sense that only their appearance maetters.
