I wouldn't let that hold me back. I was very successful in a "good ol boys industry" back in the 80"s when people laughed and snickered if a woman showed up at a jobsite or bid walk. Retired now. Sold a very successful company in 2007 and worked for them until 2009. You have to keep focused (no feeling sorry for yourself or letting people know that you feel snubbed) straight ahead and eye on the prize. No whining.
I agree MsChristie. It has been my dream for years. I am convinced that if I cannot find a mentor that can walk me through and let me apprentice and introduce me to the right people, I will not learn what it takes.
Ahhh the good ole boys club. Yes, well I had some experiance with that one. Isn't anything possible if you have interest in learning ? I have been taking a crash course in Law the last two years. It has been very interesting. A learning adventure and well worth it.
