FIRST DATE IDEAS FROM MEMBERS

My idea of a first date? Somewhere lovely, a good coffee or relaxed lunch, and plenty of time for conversation and laughter. I am a great believer that you know quite quickly when you meet someone whether there’s a connection worth exploring.

I always appreciate a table with an oceanview. A walk afterwards on the beach, enjoying pleasant conversation about dreams and goals and making follow on plans will be a great first date. Watching a full moonrise or a rocket launch could be a bonus.

Head out for a beach walk or a nature hike is, in my humble opinion, a great way to get to know someone.

It would be lovely to meet for drinks and get to know one another. Charlottesville is a fun and charming town to visit. I also have a family home in Daytona Beach, Florida, that I visit frequently.

For me, a first date isn't really about how much money is spent or how extravagant the evening is. It is about the feeling two people create when they are together for the first time. I want a date where we can relax, talk, laugh, flirt a little, and begin discovering what makes each other special. I believe the best first dates are the ones where you leave with a smile on your face and find yourself thinking about that person later that evening. I am a little old-fashioned when it comes to dating, and I find something very attractive about a gentleman who enjoys taking the lead. I love when a man puts some thought into planning a date and says, “I have something special planned for us.” It doesn't have to be extravagant. In fact, sometimes the simplest plans can become the most memorable when there is genuine thought behind them.Of course, I enjoy beautiful things. I love getting dressed up, wearing jeans or a simp dress, choosing the right perfume, doing my hair, and feeling feminine. There is something exciting about getting ready for a date and wondering what the evening will bring. I appreciate a beautiful restaurant, wonderful food, a lovely atmosphere, and perhaps a cocktail or glass of wine while getting to know one another. A beautiful dinner would be a wonderful first date for me. I would enjoy a restaurant where we could actually hear each other and have a meaningful conversation rather than somewhere so loud that we have to shout across the table. I want to be able to look across at him, see his smile, hear his stories, and learn what makes him who he is.Conversation is incredibly important to me. I want to know about the man sitting across from me—not just what he does for a living or what he has accomplished, but what he enjoys when nobody is watching. What makes him laugh? Where has he traveled? What is something he has always wanted to do? What is his favorite place in the world? What does he value? What kind of people does he surround himself with?

I really enjoy fine dining. I am a wine aficionado and can pick out a good less expensive wine than a Cheval Blanc; really appreciate new and innovative restaurants with atmosphere. Elegant but definitely not black tie. That could come later. I can dress up or dress down for a ball game, picnic, bike riding or just a breezy walk on the Boardwalk. I live very near the beach. It’s my peace and harmony every day

My favorite dinner date? A table on the beach, the sound of the waves in the background, watching the sun disappear below the horizon, sharing great food, a bottle of wine, and even better conversation. For me, it’s the perfect reminder that the best evenings are often the simplest ones.

Always starts with a friendship and lots of patience in getting to know each other. Once you feel the chemistry, exploring an outdoor activity together or sharing a day of road trip would be interesting. Been away of this site since 2021. Only here a short time coz was skeptical. You can prove me wrong.

A simple meet and greet in a quiet place, preferably a restaurant for appetizers or drinks! Love happy hours 😉

Coffees or dinner whichever you prefer as the venue is immaterial compared to the vibe of a good authentic connection
