I in desparate need for a man like Calgon.

Take me away! I live on a five acre ranch in Hemet, CA. It is more than I can handle alone. I and honestly, would rather be at the beach or in the mountains. Don't get me wrong, its a nice ranch but it needs a lot of TLC. I let people stay here for free (didn't mean it to be this way) they don't even have to pay utilities. They will do whatever I ask but not in a timely manner. I am getting very frustrated. Other people say I am too nice, I think they are right. But I sympathize with their situations so I don't say anything. What do I do?

Sell the property, give everyone 30 days notice, buy something smaller near the ocean or in the trees.

You need to urgently start learning how to be an ahole.
You'll be surprised how quickly you get respect and co-operation.

Fancygyrl2000 is right, but it is easier said than done. You are a highly empathetic person and i know how you feel. I am a recovering Empath. If you can't make yourself set boundaries, then you need someone to help you do that. Someone you trust and is able to.

Sharon, i suggest you set boundaries and expectations of your guest that should not be compromised in order to receive the deserved respect for your kindness. After all because of you
