Always a catch …

There is always a catch, I tell you, always a catch.  You see the perfect lady, those eyes, that smile and oh my oh my all the rest of her, and then the catch; maybe just one or maybe even all of these.  She wants you to be sophisticated, well dressed, as comfortable in a suit/tux as you are in your old baggy worn out jeans, on and on and on and on, oh my  oh my, a catch I tell you always a catch.

Since I have been reading profiles for years here in southern California I can also say there are catches..Catch N Release is what I call it!!! lol  sigh

Some of the keywords I see way too much:

Independent: These men want you to be independent which basically means you are on your own but I will want to come over on Saturday night, screw you and maybe I will stay long enough for you to cook me breakfast.  Because you are independent you are not allowed to need help from me or have a down moment, if you do, I won't be there.

Baggage: You can't have any baggage, nothing sad or bad could have ever happened in your previous life before I came into the picture.   On the other hand, he has a nasty ex-wife who may be a complete lunatic and his daughter(s) are princesses who never grew up while there may be a son or two that have done jail time but yeah, you have to have a perfect storybook past that will never affect your current relationship.

Drama:  Similar to Baggage but more current.  You must always be in a good mood and greet me at the door like my dog, always happy.  And like my dog who can't speak to me likes just play nice and have no negativity. Quite unfortunitely these males may also be New Agers who would say to throw out your negativity into the Universe....yeah...not a fan.

If u ever get to the point of a phonecall they will ask you when your photos were taken and can you send more asap because they're paranoid yet they have one or two photos where they usually have hats and/or sunglasses on and someone took a hazy photo 10 years ago.

Sangria please.

Update: I just read this on someone's profile;

"Hones & Reliable partner, someone who can manage without me,but chooses not too."

Thanks for your comments.  Love them.  Better luck for the future.

Hi, Sorry I didnt see them.

Should I activate sidekick0007 account? :) I created that account under MM managment approval for fun and games.

I posted them as "two little puzzles."  You might leave them run a day or two to see if we get any new puzzle solvers.

Hey I put two puzzles on Ann's brain riddle blog and no one bit.  I took them  down.  Decided they were too easy to mess with.

And that goes double for you gentlemen! Lets be honest with each other. You guys say "Open to anything, but please be between 18 and 38, no drama Queens" there's the contradiction right there. You guys are 75 lbs overweight and want you to be fit!
Ah the other edge to the sword.  Thanks for your comment.

Thats a double edged sword, Mac22,  that can apply to both ends of the spectrum, maintain your own personal identities, there's room for movement in either direction, one first however must want to change to affect the outcome, if it is not to be then it would never work anyway, you would be making changes through manipulation rather than true desire and ready for change within, then your life is no longer yours, but now in the hands of your partner to dictate the direction you now find yourself heading down to appease, that again applies to either gender trying to mold their partner into their ideal companion.

Yes, I know.  Thank you for your comments.

I get the feeling, that it all boils down to  marketing, in a peculiar way.

Advertising, being all the ' spoof ', in the opposite direction.

Did not mean to boggle your mind.  Many of the profiles do a great job of that !, ... Don't they ?.

Hi RMAC ,

Im happy to see and read familiar people in your blog ..

Yes its true , there is always a good catch ...A beautiful smile ,

a good smell , a tall guy most of all a gentleman with good

manners and right conduct but those are only superficial just

like beauty which is only skin deep.. What about the heart and

the soul ??!!

Just like what Funtimes said , I remember when I was a kid there is a song which runs this way .. Row row the boat catch a fish but I let it go again ..not really sure about the lyric ..Lol

Hi Maryclaire,

It is always nice to see you.

It takes time to see  the heart and soul.  But of course what we all want, maybe just me, is the time together to sort out all that.

Aaah well, I was just pulling your leg, ... Sorta !

The truth of the matter is, times have been a'changing, and you're not alone.

Most people are mystified as to why, ...  " There is always a catch ".  Including me at times.

Personally, I believe one of the main problem is,  the untold numbers of single people on dating sites.  One may think that, there has got to be my ' soulmate ' somewhere amongst them.

The reality being, we now have to search through millions in order to find ' The One ', while the one, also has millions to be picky with.

It's a lot more complex than, paging through a Sears & Roebuck catalogue.

Bonne chance mon ami,

Quietly observing and trying to stay out of trouble.  Lately not doing all that well at the later.

Great response by the way.
