What does your profile really mean???

I have reiewed thousands of profiles and always come across the same wording.   What do these profile sentences really mean????

1)  I am looking for a mentor

2)  Just looking from a man/woman to take care of me

3)   Just need some help

4)   looking for a mutual beneficial relationship

5)  Not looking for anything serious

6)  Want to be treated like a princess/queen/king.

7)   college student looking for fun

This is a dating site and sometimes it is hard to distinguish what people are reallly looking for.   THOUGHTS????

And let me guess....these are the profiles that get the most attention?! I see lots of "I'm a man that works hard, but loves to play even harder."

I see a fair bit of similar statements from the ladies as well.

My personal opinion is that you shouldn't rely on anyone for handouts under any guise. I'm actually widowed but sage I'm single because there's a false belief that I'm a rich widow.

@SL ,

You said it well ..I have read those comments in some of the

members .. but sometimes they are too honest that tickles my

brain to say something ..Like this week I read one from a

new male member ..

" IM A STUDENT ..LOOKING FOR A SUGAR MOMMY TO HELP

ME FINANCIALLY " ...

WOW ! what a young man with nerve ..So I give him a tip that

there are Dating Sites for such category ..He just have to

Google , but alas my comment was removed ..

Thank You Mary.  The truth of the matter is, of the thousands of profiles where members claim to be looking for a serious relationship, ... are profiles that continue to be visible for many years on end.

I am pretty sure, the young man you mention will most likely ' be taken and kept ' before long, assuming he makes his search in the appropiriate site, as you are aware of and tried to steer him to it.

His direct approach may sound terribly Crass to the pretentious masses, but one has to applaud his Honesty.

Your above list seems pretty honest to me.   People tend to have unique desires, wants or needs,  as in different strokes for different folks.

Perhaps it is much better to be aware of these upfront,  rather than under the disguise of dating for the all elusive love,  only to be disappointed later on.

It may appear as a turn-off to many,  but the truth is to be admired, by those who honestly can.

Dating for fun and not looking for anything serious can both turn into something serious and they often do.  In fact, if you come on too serious too fast the Lady (Gentleman) will run for her (his) life.

Conpaionship can also turn in to long Term if more doors are open and shared of knowlege of love but earning thier heart and trust to love.

Personally, I think that anything above means that you are just looking for a handout or for someone to come rescue you.  It sort of takes away from those of us who are looking for honest long term relationship.  It makes it harder for those of us who are to sort between the weeds.  Now that is not to say that the above is a bad thing, if they find a match that is searching for the same.  There are those out there that want to be the rescuers or the mentors and take care of someone.  Then there are those of us out there are that really looking for love and all the rest, is decoration.  Just my opinion.

I understand everyone has free will but yes its Dateing site. Energy is earned not given. Good to have education behind you. What ever lifestyle you are in as long as it goes to long term to marriage it should not be for useing or used as a sugar site. Structure and class really helps.  Old fashion Dating you can really learn somthing.  But it takes two to tango one person can't be doing it all.
