Okay, folks. Here's how it goes. Everyone goes to Heaven; there is no hell. The only hell is the hell on earth we all know too well. We've all been there one way or the other, for a minute, a week, a month, a year, half a lifetime. Doesn't matter; we've all been there because we're all human, we all make mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes result in events we spend the rest of our lives wishing had never happened. Those events might be small glitches, they might be big glitches. Doesn't matter. We've all been there; we've all "rued the day." We all go to Heaven. Even those folks who during their time on earth didn't ever regret their actions.

The big question is what happens to us when we get there!!!

Well, I can't be sure since I've never been to Heaven. But I'm inclined to think this: When we get there, we go through Heaven's style of debriefing. That doesn't include anything approaching the blame game so much as it includes showing/teaching us what our faults and foibles were on earth and getting us to recognize how those faults and foibles hurt others. If we were too selfish, for example, we're shown where we were too selfish and how that selfishness affected the happiness of others. But this example is too small, too limited.

Let's take as an example a serial rapist/killer. He dies, gets up to Heaven, what happens? He's taken to some kind of private arena, just him and his Heavenly Adjuster [God's got too much to do, He can't tend to each and every new soul to arrive, for crying out loud.] The first thing that happens, assuming this serial rapist/killer is, as most are, a psychopath, and, therefore, lacking something psysiological in the conscience department--he's given a conscience. The very thing he lacked on earth.

WHOA, says the rapist/serial killer. WHOA--GEEZE--OMG. WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE? And with his newly acquired conscience he goes over every rotten deed he's ever done and repents while in the company of a most compassionate--but shrewd--Heavenly Adjuster. He mourns the unspeakable misery he caused on earth--mourns it in measure equal to the misery he caused. He's forced to see and feel with all his senses every iota of misery he ever caused. Having suffered through that, with no earthly psychological defenses left, he is free to repent totally. To become a totally loving, compassionate soul.

Could the traditional hell be any worse for such a critter? I think not. A traditional hell would be something our serial rapist/killer might actually enjoy. But in Heaven he would not be allowed to enjoy it. He would be forced to condemn it, to shun it, to overthrow it.

Well, I may have been too cryptic here. Not sure. But, these are my thoughts for this evening. In summary: Hell, fire and brimstone below do not exist. Hell, fire and brimstone are tortures we imperfect humans know on earth. When we die, we all get to become perfect--minus the personality glitches that make us loveably unique. We get our neuroses fixed; we get our psychoses fixed. We get to become utterly and totally whole. And we get to live in pure love.

Geeze, I hope I'm right. Otherwise, I'm going to spend a lot of time in a place where it's much hotter than I can tolerate without going mad.

Heaven is real, and so is forgiveness.
