A true soulmate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet because they tear down your walls and smack you awake.” You experienced a major change in your identity when you met your partner. Maybe it was meeting your soulmate that inspired you to change, or you made a decision to be different because of him/her, but the truth is your soulmate needs to standout from other people in your life, on earth and after death (that’s if truly people meet after death).

Thanks for your contribution, and comment on this topic.  You do appear to be an intelligent person, based on your posts, from the past month or so.

I noticed that, you've also authored some blogs, contrary to many who use The Boards as a " Profile  Extension Page ", ... ?.

In order to have a good rapport with you, it would help greatly, if You Un-hide yourself, so all can be aware of who exactly we are relating to.

We have had a wonderful camaraderie here, and hope you become a part of some world class bloggers.

The story you found in a magazine, is obviously nothing more than ' a nice fairy tale ',  to write about.

Dead people " Tell No Tales ", only some of the living ones do, ... Unfortunately !.

And, dead people Do Not meet in Heaven.  That is an ancient myth,  to encourage good behaviour during life.

To answer your question : A Soulmate, is someone with whom, you have a very loving, intimate, personal and even physical relationship with.

From what You have shared with us, it appears that your late Husband, was about as close to being an ideal Soulmate, as anyone could wish for.

His so called spirit or ' memories ' will continue to reside within you.  However, rest assured He will Not be riding any motorcycles, nor winking at you or any other woman ever again.

Hi Ken ,

Thanks great for your explanation about Soulmate ..

Are quarrels and differences considered a part of Soulmate ??

Hence they are a part of relationships ..I would say it will be

boring without it ..there is no perfect human being and partnership ..although we tried to cope up ....

About my story of the woman I agree with you ...To see is to

believe ..

Hi Don,

I would have expected you to say, ... " Holy Mackerel ", instead of the ' c ' word.  It's okay, your honesty is cool.

Yeah, look what happened while you were gone hunting.  I posted this topic to pass a little time in your, and the old gang's absence, ... and it took off beyond any imagination.

In fact, the topic has attracted all sorts of imaginations.  From realities to fantasies, and theories in between all, including your interestingly,  nonchalant version.

I have a gut feeling, that many who have been following this blog, are still trying to figure out what it all means to them personally.

I'm waiting patiently to hear more on the life after death part.

Anyone out there who did the Past Life Regression Thing ?.   Let's hear from you, please.

Puff, Puff,

**  S L  **

"I'm waiting patiently to hear more on the life after death part. "

And you will, brother!

I was married to my little one for 45 years.  The ravages of Alzheimer's Disease stole her from me early last year.  We had a deep love for each other, and I was simply devastated at her loss.  I was in a shell shocked state for months afterward, and frankly wondered what the hell point was there to go on living; my purpose for existence seemed over, and to this day I still cry over her.

But she is with me.  I cannot feel, see, nor hear her, but she has left me so many signs, that it's undeniable, using a variety of methods.

Soon after her death, each of the two lower drawers in the desk I sit here at with my PC, began to open, the left one a few inches, the right one over a foot.  And this only occurred while I was here.  It was driving me crazy, as I couldn't figure out the reason why this had started.  I spoke with a medium whose services I have used before, and she told me that Mary was getting frustrated with me not picking up on some of the signs she was leaving.  In a later read she told me that the left drawer signified that she was with me, and the right indicated how she was doing. She also said that Mary loves it when I talk to her, which I do frequently.

I asked her one time to display some energy, and a few days later, she rippled the Mini-blinds on the window here several times.  She also once caused a crashing noise in the kitchen which scared the hell out of me, and loves to make my back itch in a particular place, that fortunately I can reach.

Shortly after her death, and after her daughter had pretty well cleaned out her clothes, I opened the bathroom sink drawer where I keep my underpants, which I have neatly stacked, laying front to back in the drawer.  Laying across them were two pairs of hers! I asked the daughter if she had put them there, and she said, "no dad, I threw out all her underwear the last time I was here".

Before the daughter had cleaned out our walk in closet, I was searching for another  pair of elastic waist jeans, as she had one that actually fit me, but had cut the legs off.  Couldn't find any.  A few hours later, when I went back into the closet, guess what was laying on the floor, right in front; a brand new pair of what I was looking for.

I had cooked myself breakfast one morning, and a few hours later, was out in the backyard, on the lawn.  For about a half second, I smelled breakfast cooking.  And I'm on two acres, far away from the neighboring houses.

Now for the two best;

On her grave marker, I had them inscribe under her name and dates, "My Delicate Flower".  Some months later, I had to have Prostate Surgery done.  Before the surgery, the doctor had probed me and I couldn't hardly stand the pain. He told me what a wimp I was. Some months later, in an office follow-up visit, he said he would need a tissue sample to determine if there were any Cancer.  The nurse told him that the hospital already had a sample, to which I gave a sigh of relief, being thankful that I wouldn't have to be probed again.  He made a remark about how he had referred to my sensitivity, and I said, "oh no, I remember, you called me a WIMP".  He backed off, as if searching for what to say, and then expressed, "You're a delicate flower"...

Mary and I had both smoked, but we each quit in the early '80's.  She smoked Salem, I smoked Marlboro.  My son, who is psychic, told me a few months after Mary died, that she had taken up smoking again.  He is able to see her occasionally, but can't hear her.  He has told me that the images of spirits on the other side appear to him as transparent with a green/purple tinge for the most part, but he can occasionally make them out as if they were in the flesh, with true colors.

Some weeks ago, I had walked out to our side patio, to view the progress of a tree sapling that I had recently planted, in an area between the patio and fence with bushes and such.  All of a sudden, I saw smoke rings, along with puffs of smoke!  I immediately went into the bushes, to see if there was an obvious cause, a fire or flame, but there was nothing.  Returning to the patio, I again saw several rounds of smoke rings and puffs.  I asked my son, who told me that yes, it was her smoking, and he even saw the cigarette.  He said it had a green band around the filter...

When Mary was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, her drivers license was taken away.  That upset her greatly, because when you think about it, it's like giving up a freedom.  My son told me that he had seen her driving it, and wondered why, since they can maneuver instantly to where ever they want to be, by themselves.  I told him that was easy for me to figure out; she was driving her car, because she COULD.

Last year he asked her how long I have, and she indicated, by showing sticks, 17 years, so in 16 years I'll be with my honey again.  I am no longer afraid to die.

I hope I only have one soulmate in the afterlife. I have only had one in life up to this point. It would be so weird to have more than one. But, maybe there is a way it would all work out for the better if I had two. You can never tell what is going to happen in your life now. My biggest thought is, will I know who they are immediately? Or will I have to find them all over again? That's the fun of a soulmate right? Maybe it will be like on that show The Good Place- you are just paired with your soulmate. :D

The bible has a story of an number of brothers each in turn marrying a brother's widow until there were no brothers left.  Jesus was asked who was married to her in heaven.  His reply essentially said you have no idea of heaven at all.  Nor can you understand it.

Now I know I mangled the story completely.  Unlike some of my friends I cannot quote it exactly including book and verse.

So perhaps marriage makes no sense in heaven or in any afterlife we might have.  Perhaps male and female make no sense in heaven or any afterlife we might have.  Everybody loves everybody and no one matters more than any one else.

Perhaps we are all linked into one massive intelligence.  All presuming, of course, there is an afterlife.

We have not seen You in ages, Don ?.  Hope you're still ' afloat ' and hauling in some catches.  Thought of sharing the following with you, being our ' elected ' Prez.

I've recently received a letter from my so called Soulmate, and She stated :

" I want to feel Spring in Paris, and I want to feel Spring in my Sole ".

Based on the context of her sentence, I pointed out that, the word ' Sole ' should have been spelled ... S O U L.

She agreed and apologized.

However, I got to thinking that, one could feel a Spring in their Sole, as in jogging ?.

Or even a ' Solemate ' for that matter, albeit extremely rare.

It's your turn folks, let's hear it for, ... Soul vs Sole.  (starting to sound like a divorce, isn't it )

I hear you loud and clear.

However,  the issue of the 777 Dreamliner is not one that as you say  " no one cares ".

The search for it, is ongoing continously.  Sooner or later,  it will be uncovered.  Whether or not,  the mystery surrounding its disappearance,  will be fully known, remains to be seen.

I suspect the proponents of Past Life Regression,  may have a field day with it,  down the road.

Hi Stan,

Thanks for your attempted clarity,  albeit vague.

I fail to see any logic in those scientific claims.  Fact is,  the human brain functions 100 % of the time between birth and death,  doing various tasks,  or as you put it. ... ' multiple tasking  '.

Even when you fall asleep after a 36 hour period,  the brain continues to monitor vital bodily functions.

There is no way to use it consciously 100 % of the time in any given lifespan.

The human brain is Not Robotic.

  Ok S L,

I guess I kinda did insult Mackerel fishermen by thinking election thoughts [that's as far as I go there]. I haven't been to the begining of this blog, just a couple of pages. After a few lines, for me, I burn out on the read unless I happen to find it enlighting to my interest.

Badly damaged in the past, I truly believe if your ment to meet someone, this thing called life already has the plan laid out. Do your thing and one day life will say "look what I've got for you this time". So I just carry on as is, your everyday plain old guy.

My status as single seems to prevail when out shopping. One beautiful woman, behind me in a checkout line ask how long I'd been single. Divorced I said, 38 years now, how did you know? Her reply will stick with me for the rest of my life. "No wife would let you walk out the door dressed like that". Yes, that's me, old dressed like that, LMAO

About this life after death thing, it's like reincarnation, I didn't believe in that when I was a hamster anymore than I believe in it now.

About this puff puff thing. To bad you weren't here this summer. I didn't do lots but I did have fun, it's legal here now.

**  fishyme  **

Hi Don,

No one seems to know the origins of that " Holy Mackerel " expression, so I thought you may have a fishy story about it.

As for your being divorced 38 years ago ?, ... Wow !.   Is that a typo ?

If not, then you had to have been just 20 at the time.  That has to be some kind of a record, don't you think ?.

Now we have to find you that Soulmate, before long.

Since it has become legal to puff away out there, all I can say is, ...

' Holy Smokes ',
