I have to report a female who messaged me to match me to his friend who is not a member and they were asking for email and to clicked on the link these people are obviously scummer and hacker telling me that she successfully found someone here and is closing her account and referring me to his friend by email outside this site come to find out few days ago that shes still on this site and sometimes keeping her photos hidden... all these are really highly suspicious! I will find her user name and will report it.....she have short hair in her late 40s

I have wondered at the selection casual intimate.  What does that mean?  If it means what it could mean how can a person be looking for a long term serious relationship (LTSR) or marriage at the same time?  Friendship or dating maybe?

i have found that there are lots of people scamming on here- and if they dont show picture thats a sign, and if they start asking for itunes gift cards or any kind of cards - stop it and report it total scam-

Give both the profile owner and the comment writer the ability to remove a comment.  We change and sometimes our judgement improves on a few days reflection.  Hiding comments for the profile owner helps, but some, I am sure, the profile owner would just like gone.

Same idea for comments on pictures.  I saw one comment on a ladies picture that if it was in the comment section would not pass review at least according to the written instructions.  If the lady had the right to remove it I can't imagine it surviving a day.  I know she can complain, but oddly enough few like to do that.

None of this applies to any comment on my profile.

Just joined last night!

Suggest remove lecherous comments section on peoples profiles. No-one wants to read comments from desperados posted on a prospects profile it brings down the whole tone of the site...what millionaire writes/pays heed to that kind of crap? and being online only makes it even more seedy its like repulsive cyberharrassment! and its gross.

If keeping the site in its current form:

Provide a free one week trial to all new members for their first week and/or intermittently....that would help you identify and weed out the scammers pretty quick as they jump on the bandwagon and harrass the heck out of everyone and would also bring in some fresh real talent to run by your millionaires.

If not keeping the site in its current form:

You will need some staff to help up the ante!

Make the millionaires pay on a month to month basis to stay in the game rather than 3, 6months, or 1 yr. Everyone else can be screened during their free initial access week as a prospect seeking a millionaire by the millionaire seeking a partner.

Erase profiles that are inactive or have been for longer than a month (eg not even logged on). These two moves would promote more action on the part of participants (the millionaires) in terms of motivation to get seeking before their membership expires at the end of the month.

If it truly is millionaire match then shouldn't all "so called millionaires" be verified and let them determine the income range/attributes they want in a match and only make those matches for them? Can't you send every millionaire on your list (there can't be that many of them) an alert to new profiles added to the site and if none appeal send a rejection email to the new member thanking them for their participation and inviting them to reapply next month when you might have new millionaires that might be interested?!

Obviously all this would require your service to be funded by the millionaires...but is that not who it was originally intended to provide for?

Match.com works for the majority of the population aka the non millionaires. Millionaires are not the majority so maybe stick to why you set up the site in the first place and weed out the others.

Maybe set up a 500,000 site and a 100,000 site too if you want but dont call a site the millionaire match if you dont cater exclusively for millionaires!

just my opinion

I read several comments. I have to say, you are going to have to make drastic changes if you want this to be a 'classy' dating site. I am very disappointed with what I have seen in the past month since joining. I have been diligent in checking it daily, doing searches, responding to those that message/email me, sending winks etc.. I have consistently tweeked my profile and added photos.

All I am attracting are 'fake' profiles. Everyone asks for my email within 2 messages. Why? This sight has a mobile app that makes it EASY to message back and forth with out using my email. I was automatically suspicious with the first 2 men asking because their profiles were short and no close up of their face or only 2 photos which were basically taken at same moment. They were not Verified Photos and Not Certified Millionaires.

Look, I don't care if a man is a millionaire or not. I just want to know that I am being protected and communicating with REAL men, not fake profiles trying to get my email so they can hack my life and steal my identity!!

If you cannot protect your clients from this then this sight is worthless and I am wasting MY money and Time.

I suggest making EVERYONE Certify Photos and even possibly Income. I don't see anything wrong with it. I would be more willing to pay your high fees to be protected from the crap I have already had to put up with.

I joined MM many years ago. I miss the days of the chat rooms (met a few decent people, but to this day, no one in person). I'm grandfathered in on another site, where I can fully interact and send emails, and pay zero to do so. I've noticed that I have messages on here that I can't even view, can no longer see who's viewed my profile, or really much of anything. I can go months without logging on, and not have missed anything.

I just joined yesterday and 72 views. Not bad. Seems like other dating sites. There are a lot of lookers and not very serious. Like all dating sites there are the few serious. I think like gardening just weed out the bad until you find the lily amongst the thorns.

Major improvements need to be made in terms of finding compatible users. A lot of the men on this site travel and move around the US and world frequently so I think this site should suggest other users and make it easier to discover a match based on photos and interests and NOT location

If you refer 10 scammers and they get removed you get a month free on this site.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Come on folks........we need some more suggestions/complaints/ideas!!!

Quoting funtimes0007:

@Jutta - Suggestions:

1. When a person shares his/her private album to another user, majority of people on this site are not computer savvy, therefore you have to basically explain them how to view a private album (pain in the butt). I have suggested to support many times to hyper link the auto generated email created by the system when its sent to a user, so when it is clicked, it takes the user directly to the private album.

2. Stop allowing people making profiles on the fly from smart phone app. The programmers can atleast can put a code in the nick selection choice where scammers can not use nick names such as texme8234567890. Also force new users to fill out at least x percentage of their profile fields before profile goes live.

3. A 3rd partty CC user verification (like used by credit card companies). This will eliminate 99% hackers all together. Off course the push back from MM management will be that it will reduce the amount of new account creation.
You guys can classify users who are phone verified or somehting that the user is autenticated by CC verification system.

4. Using the IP address of the user, during sign up process, your system can authenticate if a user claims to be living in New York does actually lives there, and their IP address is also from NYC. This will also reduce people signing up from Europe, Africa claiming to be living in US or so on.
I know the MM programming team is going to push back on it and they will say it will slow down the over all system. Run authentication system on a separate server. Easy solution I have done that before.

5. To stop auto bots from creating new accounts, use some new profile double authetication system where only a human can create a new profile.

6. There is a bug in MM web site code. If you try to save email messages between two people including "sent" messages inside a folder, it will delete all messages..yes told support but I dont think its fixed yet.

7. I never liked the idea where a hidden user can view my profile. There should be an option for paid members NOT TO ALLOW hidden users to view my profile unless I want them to see it. All parties should be on equal grounds.

8. If a person blocks you, there is no way for you to block them unless you call support (yes You Mr. Silver Lion)...lol A paid user must be allowed to block anyone and it should doesnt matter who blocked who first.

9. The field personal notes should be right below users profile pic. This way if you came across a profile where you contacted the person before you can see the notes right there.

10. When a new user sign up, especially a free one, ask them to provide a phone number. MM has to use a 3rd party call verification service to call that number (Not text, as most scammers use free text phone service) where a person answers the phone and type in some code generated by MM site for authentication. This will stop 50% to 80% users from trying to create fake accounts. A number used previously should be stored in MM database for future cross checking.

11. An inactive account over a year should be taken off line till the user signs back in "or" should be marked very cleary inactive over x number of days. Remember a good business survives on quality of service not quantity of products. Further, claiming to have 4 million users, honestly who cares if they are simply dead profiles :)

Lastly I need a freaking life and get off this site....LOL so I am off to Germany, Turkey and Greece tomorrow for some R&R..

I will give you some other ideas on scammers part, however most of the suggestions I have provided above should put a major dent to scammers life and it will make it difficult for people to create fake profiles.

I can provide some more technical ideas privately as I dont think you guys want such ideas in a public forum :)

Hi: I notified MM about a scammer using some one elses photo and was told I would be given 1 month free membership, which they never gave me.
