Most of the complaints I receive (about scammers) is that they have no photo or very little write up on his/her profile.  Yes we remove scammers everyday but with a name like ours (Millionaire) you know they keep coming back.  To be safe I encourage all MEMBERS to communicate with other MEMBERS or at least a profile that has a verified photo.

Please continue to report suspected scammers.  I will gladly check any profile you feel uncomfortable communicating with.  Be safe and safe searching.

OMG... I did the same thing with my scammer! Once it was obvious he was a scammer (he had ALL the clues... widow, Texan who lived in Belguim’ most of his life, no kids, all alone, phone number from MD and virtually no online presence except a cheesy nonfunctional website for his ‘company’... then he gets his first big International contract in China but can’t get back to meet me as Chinese government is holding his big paycheck for taxes up front... ‘ could you send me 23k to help me out as I have a deadline by the 16th to be paid!. I told him sure... let me see about getting those funds together for you. After almost two weeks of ‘something delaying the transfer, I finally tell him, it appears I don’t have enough to send you 23k. Haven’t heard from him since. Guess he didn’t pay attention to what I do for a living so I knew he was full of BS.
That may seem mean but I believe he deserved the let down. Shame on these people preying on people’s vulnerabilities and desire for companionship.

Sammy018,

You got definitely a Scammer in your line ..Once a guy started

asking for money even though he doesn't know you personally discard him as quickly as possible .You did the right thing.

Thanks. This is my second renewal on this site. Thought I woild give it another go. I believe I have come across my first ‘scammer’, not to be confused with the typical lieing and manipulative man. This guy, although sharp, and fairly intelligent became pretty obvious quickly. I was actually surprised to find someone like that on this site. Guess I should remove my comment in my profile that ‘ I’m not on here looking for an SD, as I make a healthy income’. Yeah, that probably triggered that. I hope all the ladies out there wise up to these scammers as some will keep you going for many months and can be pretty slick especially touting the ‘foreign accent’. What a monumental waste of time and energy. I’m sure there are lots of women scammers too but I can’t imagine them hitting me up LOL! Stay safe and smart ladies! Sami

I thought it was the site’s job to at least VERIFY PHOTOS. Forget the income - make sure the people are for real.
You shouldn’t allow anyone to sign up if they are not going to post a photo that was verified. Before I signed up I was happy to read that you guys checked before allowing someone to become a member.
Well, you don’t!

VERIFYING PHOTOS IS NOT RELIABLE ..Several months ago

somebody had posted a photo of a guy I know well so I asked

the Site to remove the Profile . I have seen here many times

that some members had posted the Photos of Prince William ,

a German Politician , known Actors and 1 is still here ..

Why cant you simply require a photo to join. Further, when people are getting verified, can you have a more thorough method. Last but not least, can you make filters illegal. Its obvious, its deception and its a lie. It seems like 50% of the people I see have visited snap chat. When you are photo verifying, why cant you tell the to post pics with no filters. This is a dating site for gosh sakes. Sometime big money is spent to meet people to find out they deceived you.

Video chat also does not give any guarantee that we are talking with an honest man. Until today, there is a man on the portal with whom I have chatted via video chat. In the end, he turned out to be a crook. Luckily, I can not be fooled, so the boy was working hard and did not make anything. Of course, I agree with what you write about, it will be mostly widows, most often their wives die of cancer. Some cheats have paid for portals, but they almost never verify photos so they start talking at least to check if our interlocutor has a verified photo. Criminals are more and more sophisticated. the last trick I've encountered is the daughter of the alleged widower writes to the potential victim as it is happy with daddy found such a wonderful woman then turns out that she has a birthday in a few days and politely asks for a gift, obviously not flowers, expensive car phone etc. etc.

I am constantly being scammed. Thank you for all the hints and ways to circumnavigate your way around these predators. Recently I received (love your profile). Way to easy as a paying member to see that he hadn’t even read it.
One fellow said he was Danish, so asked him something in Danish. Oops. Email addresses and phone numbers are easily fabricated. Keep posting. I find these conversations and observations interesting.

I'm French in the USA and saw that I changed the location ... and I did not respond in advance of a man, to whom I gave my phone number before I understand that I I'm not interested ..... it has also just said that I am a scammer and report .... I did the same, a report for inappropriate words .... and I blocked it. ... be careful of the talkers too ... I find myself alone here because I met a man who looks charming, I spoke with him for weeks ..... and when I arrived home he to change behavior and was very aggressive verbally .... I find myself alone in a hotel, far from my country and really disappointed ...

@dadgad56 why would you assume these scammers are all foreigners with broken English?! I once was approached by a Texan soldier from the US army based in Belgium (as I live in the Netherlands). He pretended to be an officer and asked for money at some point (credit card blocked etc etc etc. We all know the story). We even spoke once on the phone: very American, very Texan! So.... Don't only be careful with "foreigners"! Just be careful in general! It may sound harsh but : don't easily trust a stranger!
In the meantime : good luck to you all!

I understand that there are scammers on this website, they are on all dating websites, but I had a guy I was not interested in accuse me of being a scam because I did not like him back. MM then revoked my profile. I sent several emails to MM regarding that I was not a scam. Needless to say MM reply to this issue was unfounded and unsupported but they didn’t care. They did not provide any proof to me to support this false claim, which was frustrating. I also feel MM needs to address this issue in an appropriate manner.

Good evening!

I have been on this site for quite awhile and have met (through the blogs) some interesting people and explored great topics. I chose not to publish a photo.  It is comical the amount of emails I get that admire my photo (yuk, yuk).  However, what is not funny are the amount of people who are scammed everyday by heartless jerks with no regard for the level of pain (emotional) that they cause.

Two days ago, I watched a video of a woman who had been scammed of her money twice. During the actual taping of the segment she had begun (yet) another affair.  The director asked her to please consider what she was doing.  Tearfully, she looked at him and said "All I want is for someone to ask me out for a drink!!"  I wanted to reach out  to shake her then hold her hand.

These folks are lonely and vulnerable.  Prey for scammers.   Let's make it hard from them (scammers).  Call them out and shut those bottom feeders down.!!!!!!!

I tried to get my profile verified.
Follow the steps with state issued id
Yet returned as unable to verify. Tried twice, same result.
Why would I wish to pay for a membership when my personal information is true yet unable to vetify much less prove my income with delicate info?

Thank you for your advice. I am not a scammer. I don’t have a picture in public view but have a dozen to send to if I like the profile... I did experience quite a few scammers here in this site. But I believe good people will outnumber those few bad apples. Good luck to all of us who are serious in finding a good love match.
