Is it just me, or is there an air of sadness in this space?

Why so?

I visit this blog from time to time, and quite consistently leave with a felt need to eat a bowl of butter pecan icecream with a splash of whiskey, masturbate and cry myself to sleep.

Should I be concerned that misery is what I have to look forward to when I grow up? Say it ain't so!

Must it be so that to live is to suffer?

Really...I'm concerned. Should I  get a puppy and a monthly subscription (prescription?) to a wine club?

Surely there are silver linings, yes?

OMG  you crack me up.  I DO remember the fun blogs that were posted here a few years ago.  Quite a few verbal and (pretend) fist fights as I remember but still fun and interesting.  It is good to see as few of the "oldies but goodies" still hanging in there.  Hope you all had a wonderful new year.........hugs, peace and love all around!!!!!

Various studies have shown that there are happy people and unhappy people.  Happy people just tend to be happy.  Unhappy people well they just tend to be unhappy.  Sometimes things happen so that happy people are for a time unhappy, but they recover and go back to being happy.  Similarly, sometimes events happen that cause unhappy people to be happy, but they recover and go back to being unhappy.

Choose to be happy.  It comes from inside.

Valium and whiskey.  That could be deadly.

One of the first tenets in Buddhism is that life is suffering. once you recognize that and accept it you begin to enjoy the little things all the more. You can't let sadness rule you or get you down, just smile! It's contagious!

Cheer Up My Dear, You are not alone in feeling such.  Let's hope that it is a cyclical thing, which will eventually pass.

With regards to the blogs, there was a period of great camaraderie here.  In fact, it was the reason I had initially joined the site.

Then about five or six years ago, we were having waaaay too much fun, and things got out of hand.  The ' Church Ladies ' came after the delinquents, and the rest as they say ' is history '.

It did recover for a while, until the smart phone app that, literally overtook the boards with bikini clad ' selfies'.

That has since passed, and I believe we're into a new cycle, especially with an imiginative and highly creative writer,  such as Yourself.

So, hang tight and go easy on those orgasmic calories.
