Thank You so much, and it's great to see ya back on ' The Boards '.

If there is one thing I've realized from writing that note to Dad... Is the fact that, one should never wait or hesitate to give gratitude when it is due.

All too often, we owe that debt, until it's too late.

Are you listening, Kids ?.

Your father made you the person you are by the way he lived his own life, and you paid attention. Your friends know what a caring, intelligent person you grew up to be, and I feel very privileged to count myself among those who call you friend. We'll talk about the other things you addressed in your emails tonight.

~~ Dear Windy, ~~

Thank You so much, for the warm compliment.

I hope all is well with you, out there in ' The Boonies ' ....( It's a joke okay, now don't get pissed off at me)

Oh well, I've had a fair share of country life and can appreciate the collection of pets that you take care of, especially the exotic birds.

I miss them, and I miss you too !.

Your BFF,

My dad was the one who recognized who I really was, he bought me my first saddle for my horse at an auction and brought it home in the semi truck, I still have that saddle today. He taught me how to be a good person, not to be afraid to try new things, go and explore and see what the world has to offer.
I would say to my dad if I could, thank you, thank you tor being there, thank you for helping me when I really needed it, thank you for encouraging me to always be the best you can be, for Giving me the strong worth ethic.

Waking up to a clean shaven face rubbing against my own as my dad came in our room to kiss us before he went to work. The smell of old spice and his voice saying 'it's time to wake up'..lazy arms reaching up for a hug....one eye slightly open ๐Ÿ˜

Of all the gifts ive given him, DVDs for him to enjoy and seat warmers (hes a truck driver), the day I made him a homemade card he seemed the happyest. I love my dad.

My father was nicknamed Gabriel by his friends because he would literally give someone the shirt off his back. He was an angel to many, generous and kind. Miss you, Dad.

My dad was my best friend. When I was four years old, he married my mom and adopted me. I have never seen my biological father cause I was unwanted by him. My dad passed away in 2010 while on a vacation abroad. If I only could hug him one more time.

~~ Dear Dad ~~

Soon it will be Your Special Day of the year once more, and I can't let this one pass without sharing something important with you.

No, it's not about all the wonderful toys you had bought, nor about all the terrific Birthdays we celebrated.

It's not even about you teaching me to drive, or the splendid sunset cruises in the old sports MG, with the top down. Although I have to admit, The Dating advice you gave me on those drives, are second to none, even though I've messed up a few times, which you're well aware of.

Recently, as we celebrated Mom's Birthday, I got to thinking :-

She probably could not have made the century mark, without all of ' Your Tender Loving Care ' which I've witnessed on a daily basis. Not once were there any raised voices, or heated exchanges, between the two of you, just lots of caressing !

So for this " Father's Day " ... I simply want to Thank You for having been such a compassionate Husband & Dad, since I can't send you designer neck-ties and your favourite ' tube socks '.

May You always R. I. P.

Your ' pet-son ',

Silverlion.

My father is a pastor. I remember waking him up while he was sleeping just to tell him about what we learned in Sunday School. He would always answer without getting mad. He is the most accommodating person I know when it comes to my needs and wants. There was a time when I wanted an expensive bag. He bought it for me even when he was short on cash. He bought it for me just to see me smile. It’s the little things he does that make me see him as one of God’s precious blessings to me.
