Christmas, the greatest holiday of all. Normally I do the holidays with my late brothers kids and his widow but as we all know this year is not the same. This Christmas I had quality time with my stepmother and my sister. At 81 we don't know how long she has left so I wanted to create memories that will last. 3 females.. but we made it special, very special. See we don't know how long everything will last so make the most of it. Cherish every single moment you have with your loved ones. Make sure they know how much they mean to you.
All the best for 2021

I was very fortunate, I had Christian parents who taught me why we celebrate Christmas. JESUS was the ultimate gift given to us by GOD & he died for our sins & promised us everlasting salvation. πŸŒŸβοΈπŸ’«
So instead of seeing our children sit on the laps of Santa in the malls, it should be JESUS!β€οΈπŸ™πŸ»

I remember my sister and I watching our parents bring in the bikes we asked for, for Christmas. We were peeking through the wooden bars connected to the stairs. We were shocked, because we asked santa to bring them. When we realized our parents were santa, we stayed up the rest of night making thank you/ appreciation cards for our parents and a whole bunch of homemade gifts. We stopped asking for gifts for ourselves and began asking for gifts that would benefit our parents. We told them when we got older and my parents cried and said they were just doing the best they could. I told them just being them was the best gift ever! Love them!

Growing up in a poor Asian family, our parent’s only priority was our education and toys were unheard of.

Around Christmas time, the church would drop off a bag full of gifts for us 4 siblings. It was the most anticipated time every year. We would hear the door bell and run with excitement to the door and scream with joy when we see all the wrapped gifts with a label for each of us.

On Christmas Day, I can remember how happy we were unwrapping our gift, always getting more than we could imagine.

We continue the tradition of gifting, and although kids now may wish for an iPhone instead of calculator, we hope the spirit of giving will change a child’s life. It sure did for us.

My favorite holiday memories are every year my mom would bee so devastated and sad to find for years and years that all our Christmas ornaments and decorations would be stolen out of our shed or broken. I could tell it made her sad but she never once let it stop Christmas from coming. We would make popcorn strings, angles out of tin cans....all kinds of Christmas decorations out of junk and trash and every year it turned out beautiful! Then Christmas Eve we would have our new blanket and pjs and hit cocoa while we watched a Christmas movie. One over worked Christmas my middle brother ended up with my tea set and I got his parchessi game because they got mislabeled wrapped in newspapers. He even had tea with me so I would play his board game with him he was 13 and I was 8. The good years when my family still got along.
