As a new person on here, I have noticed many profiles have professional photos. Many of these photos are great with eye catching qualities. However, I wonder how many of them are airbrushed and touched up. I am aware that photographers are good at capturing personality and best qualities. I chose to put pictures up that capture the type of person I am, flaws and all. I am curious, would viewers prefer to see professional photos or nonprofessional?

I use snap shots too, but I had a nice Canon camera so some of my photos look professional, even though they are not, just taken by some friend. :)

I'd much prefer the non-professional, like you said about them being touched up and air brushed....Who's to know but me personally I like to see a person for who they truly are and not what "photo shot" wants them to be :)

I agree.  I think if you post, like I have, a professional pic your other pics better be a balanced menu of pic of casual shots to show your profile pic is congruent.  Good point.

I personally do not like the Professional pictures. I want to see the real person in every day life shots.
You did a great job with yours,,, best of luck in your search.
