I totally understand you, I was born in Peru with an Italian background but never really quite fit in there, not even the music. I moved to US and met a peruvian guy, got married but we were so different at the same time; what happened next... yeap... got it.
I do feel the same, being born not in my home country and living currently in a foreign country. You can't, of course, specify a certain country, nationality etc just keep up with your life, as i do coz things happen when you least expect. Love goes beyond anything. Best of luck
My name is Jez and although I was born in London, my parents were from the Mediteranean, so I was brought up with not a totally English upbringing.
Truthfully though, I had the best of both worlds.
But I've always felt that my woman wouldn't be from England. English girls are nice, but their culture doesn't resonate with me (for example I don't drink and drinking is a major social pastime here in the UK. So for a LONG time I felt disconnected on that level).
I can't exactly pin-point where my life long female partner will be from, but I'm tending to guess that she'll either be from around the mediteranean herself (who knows, maybe Spain ?) or close.
I think what I'm saying is that she'll be warm-hearted as I am (and no, I don't mean hot-headed ! I'm not that either, hence my handle on here).
Any ideas ?
I'm not looking to find someone from my own ethnicity (since it truly didn't ever resonate with me from very early childhood).
Do others feel the same about their ethnic origins ?
Thanks and Good luck !
Just wanted to drop a note here, and say I agree with you about the 'drinking' in England, BUT as a virtual none drinker, don't look in my direction, but don't rule out English girls, they are not all drunks. Be very well. K.
Foreign women (other than American) definitely add flavor to the possibilities of a relationship. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if they are in your country or not. It only matters if you love them. Seek love and not ethnicity and you will find the one you seek.
