Hi! Cindy Relish here
A true believer holds onto the hope that life somehow equals out at the end of the day. Keep the hope. It happens, even when you do not notice. Meeting a man whose wife is dying of cancer shortly seems so unfare. Yet, she was dragging him happily towards the end. Her cancer is killing her for all to see. Her cancer is killing him softly day by day. She was an inspiration, yet the need to shake her and help him grieve was overwhelming. Because when she is gone, he will have no one to weep with.
The lesson here is simple, nothing in life is really about you. It is about the people you touch, love and love you. If you are going to have to leave them, for what ever reason, grieve with them while you are still around. Death, it could be argued, is a personal journey. One that can only be embraced alone. That is not true.
One should be applauded by dying Bravely. But even in death, heroics can be very selfish.
