According to The Rules for Online Dating by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider, these are the words women should never use in their emails to men.  As the authors say, "You need to force yourself to refrain from saying anything too intense or negative that could scare a man away."  Do you agree with this list?  Why or why not?

    1. soul mate
    2. dream man
    3. commitment
    4. commitment-phobia
    5. anything about sex
    6. his or your long-term plans
    7. ex-boyfriend
    8. ex-husband
    9. last relationship
    10. marriage
    11. connection
    12. intimacy
    13. or anything about game-playing (e.g., “I don’t play games”).

I think the men use these words more because I consider all of those red-flags in my book!

Lost,

Be careful with those Physicists and crazy professors, LOL! One recently had me running for the hills after months of dating and thinking there might be chemistry and more there, LOL!

Just kidding....they are not all crazy, LOL! If I find you a British Physicist would you be interested? Oh God, I am just being cheeky, just ignore me, Lost.

Liv.

Yes for:7,8,9. Speaking about the past is a nonsense;we will have a future, the past is past.

Hi Orlando,
In my experience..I will only know chemistry in the real world after meeting in person. Some sweet man just flew me to meet him in N. C.
because he thought we had some kind of quasi chemistry through the internet, but when we met..it was zilch, nada! I still had fun though.
Good luck in your endeavors....

Quoting lostinthe70s:

I have a question for you....
You seem to have it all. Why are you on a dating site?
Just curious.... Do you know any physicists?
I'm looking for intellectual stimulation.

Why am I on a dating site?  Looking for love but haven't found chemistry.  Nope.  Don't know physicists. The one's I did know previously were like characters on the Big Bang Theory.
