I am new to this site and have received numerous men placing me as a 'favorite' or sending a 'wink'...why is this?...it really is a turn-off for me when men come accross as 'flakey' or not confident and this is how I perceive this.  Why not just send an email?  Is there some sort of 'code' or etiquette I'm missing here?  Very curious.

As for me...I'm no longer a paying member, so that's all you can do to show interest. I have also wanted to know why paying members save me as a favorite and wink when they are capable of writing an email. I don't bite...I swear!

If I add you to my favorites its generally because I haven't taken the time to figure out if I like you enough to write you.  I could keep you in my favorites for months or a few days... just depends.

One lady has been there for two months and I was kinda neutral about her until she recently commented on someone elses blog... she went up towards the top of the list.

Clever is probably mostly right...

I never wink... winking is for sissies.

(and dinkus, I reported your skinny photo)

Maybe this will help understand another viewpoint.. I do it more as a bookmark, Working overseas has it's difficulties, So when I see a lady that is apealling to me, and we have some common interests that I would like to talk to in the future, I bookmark her.. Now If she is spot on, in something I'm looking for, I'll send a message explainging my situation, and most of the time all I get is a "call me when you get back", so I'm left wondering if "favoriting" is better till I return...

weak guys dont take a chance. they r not initiative. jim could call himself a husband infront of me but no.. he acts like a scared chiken. he doesnt remember that we live together for the last 5months.  he thinks only ex isn't a stranger. i'm tired of his crazy nature. he didn't ask to talk cauz he was waiting for women to chase some ugly greek old guy. He believes only that he's so good in everything. it's wrong that he isn't manly.

Keep in mind this unfortunite aspect. The men who have sent me winks have appeared to be scammers. They are on the site for free and are waiting for some naive soul to email them back.
At one time I was naive and got scammed, never again. If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. He could have won the Academy Award for his acting skills.

I agree with Clever......However, if a man is truly interested in dating and finding "that special person" why ISNT HE A PAYING MEMBER??    I paid to be on this site in hopes of finding a gentleman that can take me out of the dating scene.  I also like a man to pursue me and not the other way around therefore I will (very rarely) email someone who is not a paying member.    I think winks are a total waste of time.....email me, ask me to chat in private, get to know me if you are serious about finding someone.
