I trully think age is just a number! But i do think that someone who is fortunate enough to live a very comfortible lifestyle and is alone would be much happier with a partner next to his or her side to share those memories with!

I am 40 and I am on a couple of dating websites. My preferred age range is 37-47, which is stated on the sites. I do not pursue men younger than this. However, young men are pursuing me. For the life of me, I can't figure it out. Right now I have a 23 and a 26 year old who have contacted me. I have had as young as 19. I don't have money, so I don't know what they are are thinking. Maybe they are looking for "experience". Can't say as they haven't told me.

webdate2004 is right...the idea is that these 20 yr olds. are too immature to "defend" themselves is, in my opinion part of what makes a "cougar"; these women know "too much" and therefore overwhelm the "kids" Just my opinion...

I always thought cougars were typically 40-50 who were basically what I call "sugar mamas" and prefered dating 20yr olds. Nothing wrong being a hot 40yr old dating within your age or older.
