Most of us have had pets along our lives. When I was a young girl, our parents had lots of dogs and other kind of animals at home. Only until I got a pet for myself realised that they are part of you, they are FAMILY.
I love animals with some exceptions such as snakes or spiders, or things like that.
Having a dog as a pet it is not only good for the child but it is also a companion for the couple or for whom ever is in charge of family. Dogs and Cats are like Family and we give them the care and love as we were dealing with people. Why? because, even though they don't humanly speak, they are always there for us, they protect us, love us, and the only thing they want is for us to show them our love in simple ways.
So for me, pets are very important. What about you?
I have a sweet Russian Blue named Tica! She's a funny little monkey at times and always lets me know when it's time to get up and go to bed--and when it's time for a snack!
dont laugh at me i have had a gerbal all my life and i love my pet like a child. His name is roger and i talk to him everyday like a child like heeeeeey boooooooby how is my bbbbbaaabbbbby roggggger doing mmmmmooooommmmmy has misss you so much. i have had a total of two gerbals and one hamster when i was young. MY LITTLE DOG TEDDY IS A MIX OF MALTESE, TOY POODLE AND YORKIE. HE HAS WHITE CURLY HAIR WITH BLACK EARS. I CLIP HIM SO THAT HE HAS EYEBROWS THAT STICK OUT AND A MUSTACHE AND SHORT BEARD...HE IS SOOOO CUTE AND WHEN YOU SAY HIS NAME HIS HEAD COCKS TO THE SIDE.
I agree with all of you, pets are special creatures which have a special bond to us.
Human beings, can also have that bond. But some are afraid of getting involved into a serious relationship and engaged into it till the end. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, like everywhere. We cannot discard the other partner, for we are part of the whole.
Commitment is the key word for everything. How far do you want to go in a commitment?
I live with my buddy Mr Bob...a black tomcat who is getting old now and still wears his red dog collar with pride:)
The welfare wanted to put him down due to his aggression which stemmed from abuse but after a few years with me he was sorted and it makes the whole thing more special :)
Now we make a good team ... wish I could find a man like that....lol...without the dog collar though :) giggle
Mmmm, yep. I'm a cat lover myself, I have 5 including the one I stole from the moron down the street today. She's been abused until she's nearly psychotic. I can fix that, but that's another story.
I absolutely could not believe they didn't give Michael Vick 25 to life for his participation in the dog fights and executions. Couldn't get it through my head that killing people and killing dogs doesn't warrant the same penalty. Jerk.
I couldn't agree more, my dog has seen me through several heartbreaking situations in my life. She loves me unconditionally and is always over the moon when I come home if I have been out without her (which is a very rare occaision). I truly believe that there are no 2 humans that can have such a loyal ande loving relationship. I find it really hard to comprehend that people can abuse any animal. All animals can form a bond that is unbreakable, all they need is love, companionship and food and water. Humans should take a leaf out of their book whilst in a relationship, to love unconditionally and to trust.
