Men don't "become gays", I didn't "become black" #facepalm. I think this website attracts alot of superficial people. I have alot of gay friends, and I know at times the gay community can be ridiculously looks-focused (just like the culture is for straight women)...BUT there are people of all sexual orientations who want to meet people who have something going for them more than looks.

It's not just America, but it's Western Civilization. The media is a very powerful force and since most Americans have a 10th grade education they are unable to understand that perfection is not attainable. They ultimately want a holder/prize that is seeable with the eye, to try and show off. They don't ness. love that person truly, they just want them for their looks. Because when it is all said and done they will end up falling in love with someone who may/maynot be physically attractive(outside), but on the inside. To make it simple about 80% of them just want to have fun, until they find the perfect match with them. So don't give, don't rush it. He will come trust me.
I really dont think it is just the gay community (though it is more prominant). We are living in a time when the media are showing us their idea of "perfection", with supermodels (both male and female) pop stars, actors and goddess forbid, even game show and chat show hosts!
