Okay heres the scoop. I was talking to someone that has had a run in with my scammer. MY SCAMMER... hmmmm what shall we call him today? Steve? Douglas? Joseph? Im not really sure anymore, but I do know one thing for sure. He told this person about his dogs and showed her pics of them, and his dogs name is Pugsleigh. That is my dogs da*mn name!!! Is he so insecure about losing the love of his life, that he stole my dog??? In all my days, Ive been afraid that I would be a victim of identity theft or even that someone may someday steal my dog... BUT NOT MY DOGS DA*MN NAME!!!
This is it. This takes the cake! What is his infatuation with me, that he has to steal my damn dogs name??? Is this his way of feeling like he has me in his life? LOL. *cracking me up* hehe.
I thought I had heard it all, and I will probably post this on the Africa thread but I know that many of you dont keep up with that. And I just want to air my gripe on all of my friends. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Im sure this thread will die quickly, but at least everyone will know that not only do you have to worry about protecting yourself, but your animals also. LMAO.
Perhaps I should give my dogs photo to the scam site so they can post it. Or perhaps if they would restore the photo link on here, I could post it here, so everyone can watch out for my dog! hahaha. Okay Im done for now, but I may think on this and return tomorrow with more griping...
Now I suppose I will be getting credit card bills in her name. uggghhh... when does it end?
That sounds like an absolute nightmare! I've heard of it happening to others and know it can sometimes destroy everything they have.
We had a problem a while back in Toronto where somehow people's home titles were being transferred to a scammer's name and put for sale without their knowledge & there wasn't a darn thing they could do to stop it! It was such a bizarre story on tv and it turns out the man doing this had been charged numerous times for fraud but somehow still managed to keep on doing this? He'd never spent a day behind bars and was still allowed the freedom to remain on the roam for his next victim? Pretty scary stuff!!!
Did the man who stole your identity ever get charged and serve time in jail/prison? Glad to hear you've just about got it cleared up!

That is such bs. He uses the pic because the dog is cute, the name is cute and it helps him rip off women. It is convenient for him to use your dog, that's all it is.
Saying that it is to get close to you is to flatter you and his own conscience.
Who in their right mind would send money to someone you don't know? Even Western Union has warnings posted everywhere and they make a lot of money off the wire fees!

Cutie, It is certainly borrowing factual elements of your life to make himself (herself?) seem more believeable.
The scammer who contacted me did the same thing. There was no continuity in the photographs of his house, his car and his dogs, so clearly he had poached the photos from some unsuspecting person. FYI look at the background, landscape topography, skyline, etc.
Perhaps we should all think about who we send photos to especially of our pets and possessions. It just fuels the scammer fire and that beast does not need to be fed!
