Interesting considering many functional sociopaths are at the top of the corporate world. American Psycho, the movie, though a hyperbole indeed, really isn't that far off key.

That is true, many are officers in major corporations or even own their own company outright. I believe that any company on the stock exchange should have to have all of its officers and board examined by shrinks before hiring. Phychos have cost the public billions in the case of Enron and WorldCom and that is just the tip of the iceburg. Wall Street loves them because they are ruthless in increasing stock prices, often injuring the company severely. They don't mind laying off 10,000 or even 50,000 people if a division is not making quite as much profit as wall street would like. However that is not good for the nation, and that is why we don't manufacture anything in the states anymore and why we have lost our skilled jobs.

And I truly do not mean this in an antagonistic way, just very curious....

Why do you start so many threads on personality disorders?

Because I believe that certain personality disorders cause most of the troubles in the world, and that people need to learn to spot them in business and in their personal life.

We also need to help people with the non harmful ones, such as depression, because they are often in danger and can usually be helped with meds.
