For some this will be old news. They're running Who Wants To Marry My Dad on the series channel at the moment over here and at some points it had me in stitches of laughter.

The best was Marilyn who dated 3 guys at the same time. Daddy is cute and I'd definitely have signed up if I was over there.

Well, statistically, arranged marriages do last longer than "find it on your own" marriages.

For me, it would depend on which of my kids were choosing... either of the two youngest and I'd feel pretty safe with the choice, both of the two youngest and I would bet I'd live happily ever after.

Now, if it were my older kids choosing... yeah... that's not gonna happen! LOL

I wouldn't mind going under KellySue's daughters microscope!

There is no one that would be a better judge of charcter than my girls because they know me the most and the best. I think that is really sweet you are looking for your dad's happiness. You must be a really sweet daughter to do this. Oh, and no one would look out for me better than my own children. !!
Keep looking for him because I think you are a wonderful daughter to take the time to find your dad a companion and a Love. !!
Good Luck to you. !

I would trust my daughter, although she likely would weed out a few good candidates for reasons I would not.  She's picky re her daddy.

I'll pass.  I have no interest in marrying men.  I'm too heterosexual.

I also would trust my daughter if she found someone who was a good match for me. I like that and think it is very thoughtful.

I would trust my middle daughter to pick someone out for me. She is the only person I know who has a greater sense of the absurd then I do. In Italy, I saw a running nun. I snapped her picture. Only my daughter would get endless pleasure at the thought of a nun running. She could find the right person for me.

Ahhh, the infamous middle child..Always a good choice. Of course I would think that because I'm the "middle child"..lol
So, Lombardy, is she involved with helping you here? Do you share pics, profiles, opinions and ask her of her thoughts?

Hey, I would love that pic! But here's the real test: Would you take a picture of two monkeys "doing it" and find it interesting and amusing?! lolol...I did!

Id definitely trust my middle daughter. She has a wonderful sense of humor. She She asked me what I was doing Friday night and I told her I was going dancing. She knows I prefer to go alone and leave alone, but dance all night (I have many friends that also love dancing) and she said hang on a minute..She proceeded to go into a chat room and post she was looking for a date for her mom LOL. All of a sudden I had a ton of IMs and couldn't figure out why until she came back and said..I found a few for you mom so you dont have to go alone. I about died LMAO (shes 22)

Isn't it funny that so many of us would allow our children to choose for us.....

Not a female relative of mine for sure. Maybe a male friend of mine for initial screening, but even that would be iffy..

In other words, there's no one you trust enough to choose on your behalf? Interesting....although I suspect there are many who fall into this category and those of us who do know someone they'd trust enough to choose for us are in the minority.

I've said a few times that I should have my committee pick a man for me. . . my committee is a core group of four friends who know and love me better than anyone else. They know my history, they know my likes and dislikes, they know what I seek in a relationship and I know they all have my back.

Hmmm. . .time for a conference call!

I've only seen snippets of the show but I think my son is ready to call a producer and run a contest (and best of all) be able to choose a man for me!

He would be a tough one, though, not just any man (gee, wonder where he got that from?!). Only the best (says he) and he's got pretty darn good sensors and judgement. I would trust him to make a good pick.

How about you? Who would you trust to make such a choice on your behalf?
