"One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words."
- Johann Wolfgang van Goethe

Which medium moves you most? What experience pops first into your head when you think about that which moves you so?

For all the women who have one and the men who appreciate them:

MY BUTT IS BIG AND ROUND
LIKE THE LETTER C
AND TEN THUOSAND LUNGES
HAVE MADE IT ROUNDER
BUT NOT SMALLER.

AND THAT'S JUST FINE.

IT'S A SPACE HEATER
FOR MY SIDE OF THE BED

IT'S MY AMBASSADOR
TO THOSE WHO WALK BEHIND ME

IT'S A BORDER COLLIE
THAT HERDS SKINNY WOMEN
AWAY FROM THE BEST DEALS
AT CLOTHING SALES

MY BUTT IS BIG
AND THAT'S JUST FINE
AND THOSE WHO MIGHT SCORN IT
ARE INVITED TO KISS IT.

OK, Now that we are all inspired, what should we do today?

I climbed a mountain today....what'd you do?!

There aren't any mountains in Michigan...

There could be! In her wildest dreams! lol
Maybe you need an imagination Jockboy! lol

I'll have you know that I have a very "sharp" imagination, Sharp.........

And if there ain't no mountains in Michigan, then you need to move the fantasy to somewhere else, like Colorado.....

Speaking of jagged, it feels like there's some edge to this....be nice, JL! We'll be down there soon and have to give you a spanking! lol

I used to live near mountains and since I too have a vivid imagination and take a vacation occassionally, I can still go to the mountains when I close my eyes or go on a real trip. In fact, my son is moving to CO in late August. I'm going to help him move so I'll get to see again what I miss so very much.

Red what do you think inspires me in the morning? GO FOR IT!!!

I'd be guessing being able to pee without pain would be pretty good inspiration, Don!!!

Tell it Tomi!!!!!

Red - ughhhh how crude.... People gonna ask how you knew... lol.

My true inspiration in the morning since I started this job that I DETESTTT!!! is to stick my head in my 10 year olds room, see that sleeping face and say to myself today is for you. 26 months 23 days to retirement.

D, I pulled a card....that's the story I'm stickin' with!

Now peeking in on your kids while they're sleeping, sheer simple joy.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to say that!

Indeed in my dreams - love the mountains and methaphorically speaking and a little prankster..

I have been hanging out with my 7 year old god son. I feel like I climbed a mountain before breakfast is over. lol. Just kidding. I am having a blast with him.

He's adorable, Bill. Looks like he's got that twinkle of mischeviousness in his eye.....bet he keeps you on your toes.

Speaking of children, is there much more that's more inspiring than simple innocence and joy, often priceless pearls of wisdom a child has to bring out the kid in us?

Hi RED,
Music hands down for me and all styles
. Visual arts next and then poetry. I can "feel" the music, find it most inspirational. Something just wells up inside. More so with some of my favorites, Andrea boccelli, Sarah brightman, Oliver Mtukudzi. I like to dance too with wild abandon...just give me the right tunes!!

Ah, music, like no other....
What can instantly take us to the best time/event in life? Make you feel like Rocky and go fight the world, make you wish you'd taken just a few more piano lessons and get up off your butt and not give a hoot about who's watching and judging how the music moves you!

Okay, that makes it a good day for all of us, SS! Come on, what really uplifts your spirit?

Agreed, but so does the deepest saddness, darkess moments in life experience inspire art in all forms.
(singing in background...Elton John) "And that's why they call 'em the bluuuees".....

JL: Guess you're having a jock day rather than a lawyer day, lol. Hung over on a "school" night?! Perscription: Take two aleve with a pint of water and call me for a massage....and I mean that in a purely professional way.

LS: So you like a work of art, huh?

Cyn: So good to see you. People can inspire me as well. A prime example: Katie. Rarely does a woman rise so wonderfully out of a dreadful situation.

TB: Seeing that true fighting spirit every day - how fortunate you are. I'm quite sure, however, there are too many days when it can be heart-wrenching as well.

Bill: So you're a words, man....hmmm...I pictured you more of a song man.

People, a song, a poem or good book, a piece of art that I can get lost in if only for a few minutes can all inspire me..Maybe I'm just easily moved.
