I was laying in bed reading Carl Sagan debunking the myth's of pseudoscience, namely UFO's, alien abductions, crop circles..(albeit a bit heavy for inducing somnolence)when a UFO started zipping round, first in sweeps, then dive bombing my head. While not as big as the flying saucer I saw last month..LOL, it was intimidating just the same. Thought it might be attempting to create crop circles in my hair. This flying insect was apparently attracted to my bedside reading lamp. With loud shreiking and body contortions that would put Jim Carey's talent to shame, I leaped OOB swinging. My aggressive tactics furthered the insects attempts at survival, flying round the room w/ lightening speed. With adrenaline pumping, it was him or me. Using Dr. Sagan's book, The Demon-Haunted World as ammunition, which I thought was more than appropriate, I attempted to extinguish the bugger's life, w/o any luck! Disappeared. I searched high and low, to no avail. I knew sleep wouldn't be coming easy until it was found. So I'm laying there again, reading, and a few minutes later.., fully recharged, it reappeared! Hopping out of bed again, with my arms a'flailing, books a'flying and a string of expletives that a truck driver wouldn't utter I was on the attack. Still no luck. Well this scenerio played out several times until I gave up figuring with lights out maybe it would sleep too. Plenty of room in this vast space for both of us given it's minute body mass. Really what were the odds it would nestle down with me?? Still, uneasy knowing it was lurking nearby... Not 5 minutes later, What's that in my cleavage?!! For a sec I thought it was the end of my braid b/t my breasts. But then...I FELT MOVEMENT. Frozen in paralytic horror, I thougt no...this can't be happening!! Clutching my tee I ripped it off, leaped OOB and ran to the bathroom! Must have been attracted to my body heat..as I am one hot momma..lol. Somethings attracted to me at least...maybe I'll get lucky again tonight!!

I am sorry you got so upset at me while I was in one of my other lifeforms. I just thought it would be a nice warm place to rest my head for a little nap.
lol

TIP: Use your vacuum cleaner. You can suck up hundreds of bugs quickly, even while flying. If you have a big powerful shop vac, even easier.

Hey BnB!

Glad to hear you got him! I have a thing about spiders!!! Can't stand them, but have learned to be brave and can now squish them in one fell swoop with my slippers or sandals lol! Always wear mules so they come off real fast lol!

Many years ago when I first moved into a house, I had to contend with spiders which I was not used to having lived in apartments most of my life. I used to pay the kid 2 doors down .25 cents to kill the spiders for me, but quickly realized I'd go bankrupt lol! Now that I've started gardening, I had to get over my fear of speedy spiders, but still keep an eye peeled & knock them off & squish em! Ewww yuck I hate spiders!!!

LOL Barb, now i know where you came up with your handle, "ready4unow"...LOL!!

Lucky "SUCKER" I could only imagine being squished in between your breast.
We have the smaller Asian 'Tiger' mosquito they hurt when they bite and are much faster than the big ones like up north. Last year when I went canoeing in MN you could not expose flesh during sunup or sundown. The buzzing was incredible and could be heard inside the tent.

Hahaha! Too funny Bnb. I don't have that problem here, but whenever I visit my sister in Manitoba, it's wicked...and not just one but six!!! And they're giant mosquitos! You don't dare go to sleep, they'd eat you alive by morning. Actually you couldn't fall alseep, they buzz around your ear!
I've spent up to an hour hunting those buggers down! lol So I can appreciate your experience and have a good laugh at your expense, not mine! lol
