In my opinion I don't know why people are slamming this girl for trying to make something happen for herself. Instead of being a whiny bystander in life she found an expensive item for sale, called the person up to negotiate a commission and then went to a site where there are supposedly rich people and offered the item for sale.

She wasn't scamming she made an honest attempt to make some money by creating value in finding a buyer. I would rather spend my time griping about peopl e who cry about how bad life is and NEVER do anything about it and expect someone else to come along and fix all their problems or provide for them.

Anyways that is just my 2 cents on it.

sounds like you have a great deal of trust in this scammer. more power to ya, pull out your millions and see what it gets ya. SCAMMER ALERT!!

You just don't get it Greek! She was trying to sell a big fat diamond last month! In her last storey she said her friend gave it to her or something like that and she was trying to make profit off of it. She say's it's to take care of her family overseas. There will probably be another post next month!

Exotic... you never answered me. Are you Khmer, Thai or Laos? Still not taking care of the family? Jeez, that's sad!

Are you involved with the people on EBAY that had this for sale???

Ebay item#: 5066064957

I note that the seller is from NYC, NY and you are from TX ???

And BTW, they have a copy of the GIA report there.

I hate to say it, but unless you got some really good explanation, in true SouthPark style, I am calling "SHENANIGANS", everyone get your sticks!!! this smells of a SCAM ...

yeahuh rob why some thing worth 27 million will sell for 9 million something funny about it do you think?

27 million is an insurance value, a replacement value if it is lost or stolen. One will never pay the appraisal value of a diamond, it isnt a true value. The true value is whatever the market will bear. there is a huge discrepency in the value of a diamond. the guidelines are so far apart, you can tell a gemologist how much you want a diamond to appraise for, and they will change the parameters to make it happen. Simply by changing the color range from simply an F color to a D-F color, they use up to 3 different color variations on one stone and be within legal guidelines. it widens the spectrum so that they are not commiting to one specific color. a very good clarity diamond can go under a 50X maginification or more, but in order to call this a vvs clarity, or better yet, IF (internally flawless) they are required only to look under a 20X lens. these 2 things alone can make a tremendous difference in how much a diamond is valued at. in order to prove that a diamond is of significant value, a higher power lense would be used to substantiate the claim but in most cases is NOT. The cut of the stone plays a key role also, as most diamonds are grown in a crystal structure which makes them rather squarish when they are rough. In this formation, the diamond is usually cleaved into 2 pieces and then cut into 2 different stones. Whereas, not all, but the vast majority of your pear cut diamonds by a freak of nature have grown in a different structure and require a different type of cutting, they are not usually cleaved into 2 pieces before cutting, they are cut from the entire stone. The amount of facets these stones can take makes an impact on the value. The more facets it contains, the more brilliant it is and has a greater refraction of light which is yet another factor in diamond grading. Any further questions? Im sure ExoticAsian will be more than happy to answer them for you. OH or has she left the forum? I wouldnt be surprised. Would any one of you put your money with a person that cant even stand behind the claim of a stone that she so graciously offered to sell for a diamond dealer?

The truth is that Gary Weiss doesnt need any help from her but she thought she would be able to find a millionaire on here that she could get to trust her. So she contacted Gary and asked him if he would pay her a finders fee if she could find a buyer. He laughingly shrugged it off, knowing that she will be of no help to him and agreed half heartedly to give her a little bit of money. He knows she doesnt have the means of finding anybody with that kind of cash but being a business man, hey you never know who she may conjur up. Its not even taking a leap of faith, its just him laughing his assss off thinking she will just forget about the whole thing. Ive dealt with people like her before hoping to get a little bit of money and they find that they are of no use and forget about it. She really should try to start out with something much smaller like a CZ ring at the gas pump, or better yet one of those phoney 14K chains. She is of no use to him and he has already forgotten that she approached him. people like her are a dime a dozen, and its usually young people with no formal education that give us such a laugh.

figured i would copy post from the other thread incase you missed it, since you removed your original post as the author.

OKAY LET ME REPEAT MYSELF!!! I AM A DIAMOND EXPERT AND HAVE BEEN FOR 25 YEARS. having been a goldsmith and a gemologist diamond expert, i find the probability that if this diamond did exist outside of the smithsonian institute or on J-Lo's hand, Ye s im sure your parents will be very proud that you are a fence and a con artist. what a joke!
IF THIS GUY DOES IN FACT HAVE THIS DIAMOND IN HIS POSSESSION I'M SURE HE WOULDNT NEED ANY HELP FROM SOME LITTLE 18 yearold KNOW NOTHING OF YOUR OBVIOUS LITTLE EXPERTISE TO HELP HIM SELL IT. GO SING YOUR SONG TO DEBEERS! you know, DeBeers.... the syndicate that mines 90% of the worlds diamonds? Or possibly it may be an australian diamond which would be where 10% of the diamond industry comes from but they have refused to allow Debeers to own it. They are actually washed up on the oyster coast line after it is pushed up through the timberlite pipes of volcanos and consist of 90% gem quality because they have been washed through the masses of oyster shells and sand before they ever hit the coastline. I dont know expert....where did this most extraordinary diamond come from? anyone with such a perfect diamond would know where it came from, or maybe i missed that part. A pure specimen such as that would surely have a name, as most diamonds that pure and over a certain carat weight usually gets a name. Like the Taylor-Burton diamond but when it was later sold she had scarred and chipped it so badly that it had to be re-cut, losing almost half of its original cut weight. Do you have any information like that? I THOUGHT NOT. So please spare us the poor family story and the guy that would allow someone of no worth or credibility attempt to look at such a gem, let alone sell it for them. Oh and BTW if anyone is interested, there are masses of gem quality diamonds held in reserve by DeBeers that they will not release in mass quantities and do not want people to be aware that there is such an abundance of them. The reason you ask? Would be because thats how they control the value, if the public was aware of this, the market would drop dramatically. They make it appear to the public that they are very few and far between,in order to drive the prices up and keep them high. So in actual reality the true value of a "perfect diamond" isnt worth much more than any semi-precious stone unless of course it is a natural (not irradiated) blue or pink which are truly more rare. And the so called "canary diamond" well in the industry they are called "bort" which is an extremely poor color and usually not of very good clarity and should be used for industrial purposes such as drill tips. It is a gimmick to get people to purchase these poor quality stones, and its working. That tiny little portion of my schooling cost me $500 25 years ago, but I just shared it with you for free. Maybe now you can appear a little more credible. Sorry if I bored everyone else

Ok.
#1- I NEVER did change my personal information as you accuse me of doing. You may ask the admins because I am sure they can access everything I'm doing on this site.
#2 - I NEVER was on Ebay
#3 - I am not a scam.

For the last time I am going to explain. I am helping Gary Weiss sell his diamond. He has a business that can be verified called Jewelry47 in NYC, NY. If you look him up on Ebay, you will find his number, you may give him a call, and you may ask..."Is there a young lady in Texas who has permission to help sell your wonderful 81.98ct diamond?" and he will tell you, yes. I do not mind the finger pointing in my faces calling me a scam because I could do the same with most people on here pretending to be somebody they're not...but there is no need for that because I respect everybody here. Thanks for looking.

Besides we were talking about cut gemstones, not diamonds in the rough! Although, I have been working out some, so the girdle is back to medium/thin, and the symmetry is coming around. Plus I got a couple shots at the gemologist, so my fluorescence= none now too!!!

ROFLMAO...
