Only this evening did someone point out to me it was Friday the 13th! My day all makes sense to me now!
I had a major FUR FLYIN' cat fight (literally) happen this morning...really shook me up. Let the cats settle before I tried handling them, then had to take one to the Vet...
Shortly after, I realize the painters are painting my mainfloor the wrong color...I told them yesterday, but he assured me it was fine...the paint was just wet. Well it was night and day the color difference. He's trying to talk to me like I'm an idiot. At this point I'm feeling a little stressed here! You know it PAYS to talk nicely to the workers in your house, cause one of the painters spoke to him (in Polish) but I caught the word "different" and a moment later he turned to me and agreed the colors were very different. All will be fixed on Monday. Now everything goes in 3's...only 2 things have gone wrong so far. I'm going out with friends, there are 5 hrs & 56 minutes left...can I make it unscathed? lol

Anyone else have a bad Friday the 13th day?

Tomi it was bad! lol But when I arrived home...it was just after midnight. I told my daughter I was dropping her off and I just wanted to go for a drive and think about things. She looked at me and asked me where I was going. I said just for a drive to think. She said, "I'm not getting out, I don't want to be alone!" Then gave me this comical look raising her browse and smiled as if to say..."So there!"
She had me laughing in seconds. So all ended well, but by then it was the 14th! Makes me wonder if there is something to these superstitions! lol

Daughters are good for that, Sharon. My daughter has the greatest sense of humor. That's way I miss her so much. We always laughed...well ALMOST always!!! LOL
Glad to hear January 14th was better!!!

My daughter makes me laugh so much too Tomi. For the past 4 yrs she has wanted to take her Gr 12 on a Tall ship that sails around the World to 25 countries. She's accepted. Now she's waivering, because she's not sure she's ready to leave home! I'm feeling the separation anxiety already too, and I'm not sure I'm ready for her to leave home yet either! When she returns June 2007, she'll be heading off to University somewhere...I'm thinking more & more I don't want to give up that last year with her. I'd miss her so much. I could see myself buying a one way ticket around the World, because I'd be too restless & sad at home without her.

WOW sharp....you had one HELLUVA Friday the 13th. Glad you made it thru! Mine was a very good day, because I didn't have to work 14.5 hours. I was home by 3:30pm and relaxed the rest of the evening. Didn't do anything to tempt fate!!!

To celebrate, I went out drinking with my friend and tried to get lucky. We spent half the night on two nice young ladies, great lookers, then decided we weren't going to get lucky and moved on. About the only thing that was neat was that I guessed the exact make and model car of the girl I was chasing down, after she told me her previous vehicle...on the first guess.

Sharp... My day was "cursed"...I think especially since it was Friday, also.!! I got 2 speeding tickets ,I had to fire a very good friend , and I left my "daytimer" on the top of my car and drove off...somewhere in the middle northern Idaho , along the side of the road , wet , buried under fresh snow lies my "brain"... I have 53 minutes left..crossing my fingers.!!

hahaha...Jeff...it sounds like it! It's never fun firing anyone, worse a good friend. Hope your friendship survives.

Well, believe it or not mine did get worse. Picking up & dropping off kids made me 30 min. late for going to a movie. On the way home my daughter was pushing my buttons, because she wasn't getting her way late at night (11:30 p.m.) & her friend sat in the backseat laughing her head off. Tolerant for so long, I'm proud I didn't lose it, but I was direct in telling her friend how disrespectful her conduct was, that she had crossed a line with me, and I would never be driving her anywhere in the future. She was apologetic. Of course, my daughter wasn't too happy over that, but we talked and she knows I was right! Maybe 3 or 4 times/yr do my daughter & I have a run in.
Tomorrow has got to be a better day! OMG...It's already the next day...Feels better already...sleeping in for a change in the morning...no painters showing up till Monday...have the house to ourselves for 2 whole days! YY*a*h*o*o! lol

All's fine in the ATL. Other than a storm blew in rain, cooler temps but that's ok it has made snow in NC. I am taking my boys skiing for the weekend. You guys enjoy your weekend.
