If you are into Adventure travel, it is difficult to beat Namibia. Not like anywhere else in Africa (or the planet for that matter). I love the dunes. If you want to see volume (as in large big herds of animals) go to Tanzania or Kenya...for closer encounters, I like Sabi Sands near Kruger.
Cheers,
Ethan

Hi there

Please don't kill our animals. I know that a lot of farmers have gone from crop farming to 'Game Ranches' specifically for hunting.

Enough animals have been killed in Africa with all the 'Wars' and nature is battling.

In South Africa we are battling with the Gene Pool of Lions and the infertility of male lions due too hunting.

In the Caprivi - Namibia, there is a problem with adolescent male elephants, due to many female elephants being killed and these young males have to leave the herd too soon.

Just two examples..........

I still have a home in Durban and Africa is extremely important to me.

Sue.....

I only shoot animals with a camera... been on safari three times in Africa, Kenya and Tanzania, and enjoyed every minute of it. I'd love to go on a longer trip as I've only been for a week or two at a time before.

Ditto on the shooting, Bedford (but I can skeet & trap shoot and it is fun!). Africa is one of my top three places to "must see" before I go. I'd love to see pics. I have heard it's veerryyy expensive. Can you give me an idea of what it costs?

I'm planning to spend this coming birthday (5/24) in France. Any suggestions for that area? I have just always had some mysterious draw to see France, Eygpt and Africa. France is first on my list. And I couldn't let this go without saying that one of my sisters has been to Spain and said it was beautiful, so maybe I have to make a stop there!
T

I was lucky on the last safari... I went with a group of friends, some of whom work in travel so we got the works for next to nothing. I guess a big chunk of the cost for you guys over that side of the pond would be the air fare.
I'm sure you'd enjoy Spain, just avouid July and August... is too hot and too full of idiots then!

lol...Thanks for the advice, If I want idiots, I can stay right here!!!

Africa is beautiful and it is not that expensive like everyone thinks regardless if you are hunting or just site seeing on a safari. I am going back in Aug. then returning in Nov. Thinking of moving there have not decided yet. But do not pass the chance to go you will love it that is a promise
I will try to upload some pics from past visits over there.
