Is it ridiculous? Lifestyle

Am I crazy for not considering a 1 hour commute a "long-distance" relationship?
Am I crazy for not basing my decisions on the possibility of a "worst case scenario" actually taking place? I've met a guy. I love him to death, but he's a pessimist. and considers the one hour commute, painful. We're both single parents... both have full custody of our children... have the same amount of "free time" -our schedules coincide... He swears he wants to give it a shot, but I don't know how well I can tolerate his pessimism. I mean it's one thing to be aware of what can happen. It's another to only base your decisions on the slightest possibility of things not working out, right??? Any thoughts out there?

The one hour commute is inconvenient.

The pessimism is a way of life for some people, and will never change.

    Life is too short.

IMHO, find someone further away with a better attitude, it would be well worth it in the long run!

    Girlie,
If you both care deeply for each other, and love each other, then one hour should be a walk in the park. I dated a guy for 3yrs, and we drove an hour to see each other, all the time! If he's negative about the situation, get rid of him! Good relationships are, about compromise!!!!!

A very good rule to live by is .."surround yourself with positive and optomistic people".!You state this guys is a "pessimist".... I assure you this trait will compound with time...
