Its both spiritual and physical but in old testament time it was spiritual the children of Israel worship false gods and the living true God is a jealous God. Today man throw all types of spiritual nonsense at Christian sin is sin only one is not for given blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. And if you practice sin its what separate one from God and gambles at ever lasting life.

adultery is when a man or woman that are married have sexual intercourse w/ someone that isn't their husband or wife...so i agree w/ mira 23. its also the only way that someone can get divorced, but know a days poeple get devorced for any insignificant reason instead of working it out. that's why you should get to know the person in depth first and be 100% sure that you want to spend the rest of your life w/ him or her.

When I think of adultry, I am thinking physical and mental. In church I heard the preacher say... Just thinking about it is the same thing.

Depends on if you want the definition to be purely religious or not...

One of my favorite jokes has been "Do children have as much fun in childhood as adults do in adultry?"

That is said tongue in cheek, as cheating on a partner with another is a detestable lack of character and moral fiber in my book...

I think each couple should define with each other what is considered breaking of the covenant of their relationship.

Myself, I consider that the line has been crossed when you start swapping bodily fluids, whether it be simple kissing or something more.

There is a part of me that would consider the adultry to be based in the mind, and no physical requirements needed to break the rules...
