Thanks dormavirgo!

I know that in 1999 we got 20 inches of water in our house from Irene... then things were mild until 2004... Since then, ACK!

Ya know... I used to live on top of the Hayward Fault in CA... supposedly the most dangerous fault in the world... yet to give us another big bang shake up

Not knowing about earthquakes was bad... and recovery from damages just as bad as any other natural disaster... but somehow NOT knowing was far better for my stress levels than knowing and watching the path of a hurricane coming at you... if I have to go through another season like these last 2... just lock me in a padded room!!!

global warming, cyclical events, whatever... can we end hurricane season now, please????

we took a really bad beating from wilma to our home and vehicles... i'd say it was far worse than all the hurricanes in FL last year combined...

still on generator power here, so not online much... hopefully will have power back by end of november... those without a generator or means of transport are really suffering because they closed the last of the distribution and relief centers for food/water/ice last friday... go figure...

we didn't get water up to our roof lines, like the folks in NOLA. but in south palm beach and broward, there are not alot of roofs that didn't lose something, let alone buildings that could not withstand 100+mph wind gusts...

these are such sad times... i'm seeing a lot of resignation in people's eyes... an emptiness...

another thing that is really disturbing is that they were finding seniors dead last week who had been stuck up in condos without any phones/power/water/food after 8 days... no one thought about them not being able to walk down flights of stairs to get out and get supplies or help :(

i keep white and green candles lit for everyone that is on the road to recovery and healing... much love, light, and aloha

HH

We never used to experience tornadoes. But in the last decade that has changed, to the point a year ago they implemented a siren system. Haven't heard it yet, but if one had their TV on during the day or radio, they would here a warning siren. The months of June and July are the two months they tend to occur, and it doesn't have to be on a hot day.

I tend to agree with you Angie. Sometimes I wonder if our whole universe might be part of a third grade science project of a much larger and more sophisticated species and one day when they see how much we are polluting they will just spray us with some lethal chemical just like what we might do to an ant hill.

Hi Bobby, There sure have been some major disasters in the world today. There have always been disasters in history, though. The hurricanes are forming more now because the ocean is 1 degree warmer I heard. There has been a pattern of that every 30 years or so.
I don't think God is intending on ending our world anytime soon and if He is I better get praying some more. There has always been earthquakes, volcanos, hurricanes, floods..even worse than they are today.
