I saved a salamandor from drowning yesterday, doesn't it feel good?

Hi RomanticLass

Your right it does feel good to help out critters in distress. My most dificult mission was a toad that was trapped down a shallow dry well. I dangled down in there so long trying to prod it into a bucket with a stick that I thought the blood would never leave my head. I'm sure the toad appreciated the swim it got after the rescue. It even feels good to help out smaller critters like moths and stuff that get trapped in buildings and will die of dehydration unless they can go free. So I say keep up the rescue missions everyone because like the old story goes. "There was an old man walking down the beach after a great storm slowly picking up starfish from the sand and throwing them into the sea. A young man saw this and went up to the old man and berated him saying that there were millions of starfish washed up and there is no way he could make a difference in his efforts. The old man bent slowly and picked up another starfish and tossed it into the water. Then he looked at the young man and said, "It makes a difference to that one."

So bless everyone who makes a difference to even one.

Have a great day
B

...yeah... he stole my heart...just like a little baby...:-)))

he runs around on "full" and then...?
he just plops... and sleeps...

I kick him around a bit :-))))) ...but ... to no avail!....:-))))
some guard dog and protector he is! :-)))))))

It's not so bad to have your heart stolen by a puppy....I was up all night Wednesday delivering puppies. We managed to save 3 of the 7; they're fat, energetic and healthy...and are going to be great dogs.

This is the sweetest of all sweet dogs...

Thanks Doll...could you tell I was having a Sleepless in Seattle (and just plain sleepless) moment when I wrote that? It's good to know I am amongst friends. Au Revoir mon Cheri!
So question, "Are we having fun yet?" And, "When does the "romance" start?"

...do you have a leash for salamander?...
is it very cuddly? :-)))))

...comment:.. noticed you saved this critter from drowning...
BRAVO!

:-)))))))))
Slawek

I would jump infront of a 20-ton truck mack to save my pupy...
I am going cuckoo in my age!

...and I don't care about material things...
if he pee*s?
well, he has to go...
and that is that!
shirts? ,...I can buy them... persian rugs?.... I can get them...
his love?... priceless and unfathomable! :-))))
if you think about?... you gather belongings all of your life...
and once we are gone?
...we can not take them with us...:-))))
bammer...ha..?
:-))))))))

A leash for the salamander?...geesh...Are you kidding?...I figured I would abandon my the usual aloha flower behind my ear, and replace it with the salamander. Hey it's just as bizarre as an online dating service. But I wouldn't know anything about that...oh wait? Crap! Wait I can't say anymore....However, I might actually get some feed back! Besides... you never know Mr. Right might like salamanders. Oh and he brings out the blue in my eyes. LMAO
Could you imagine that scene?

Let's just say in this tale we abondon the notorious damsel in distress..."Ooops I think I have something in my eye, can you help me?" scenario, shall we?

SCENE: (INTERIOR. NIGHTCLUB. EVENING.)

(A man and woman in their thirties wait at bar to be served by the bar keep.)

MALE: So...How you doin'? Come here often?

FEMALE: NO.

MALE: So can I buy you a drink?

FEMALE: Depends are you planning to spike it with something that will incapacitate me?

MALE: Maybe, Holy Crap! Is that a lizard behind your ear?

FEMALE: Why yes it is. (wink wink)

MALE: Wow is that normal for you?

FEMALE: You have no idea....Goes great as a prop with my belly dance costume.

MALE: Can I pet him? Does he bite?

FEMALE: No, but I do. Don't worry only if I like you.

MALE: Do I have any potential?

FEMALE: Maybe...

FADE OUT.

It could happen....GOOD TIMES!!!

Hey what could be a better ice breaker.

Ok, I don't know what is a better sign that I need a vacation. The fact that I actually wrote something this horrible or that I have the brass to post it here.
Get your laughs now...I'll delete it later.
Still love the puppy...

...he just pee*d all over my persian rug.....:-))))
...but I don't mind - it was a left over from my ex-...:-)))))
...and I can not get angry with him...
I must be going bonkers in my tender age, because he stole my heart...
...the day I picked him up, when I wiped him dry and put him on the passenger side floor... he managed to climb on the sit...crawl over the middle consol... and just cuddle up on my lap... with his nose in my side...
I could not melt... period!
and all this while car was moving...
sorry if this sounds sentimental... but he really stirred feelings I have not felt in a very long time...
it is funny!
...and true what you said...
we do not pick them out... they pick us ...:-)))))
he is a real "killer"!!! :-))))
when I brought him back to my place he killed bowl of Puppy Chow in 10sec flat, bowl of milk and ...poo*ped ....:-))))
kids nowadays!!!! I tell you!! :-)))))
Thank you again!

Good for you Slaw. You have a big heart and I am impressed. Izabel, the dog I have now came from the Humane Society. Zeke the last dog I had was found half dead in the street. Bear in mind: we don't pick the dog. They pick us. Good luck to both of you.

Well welcome to the rest of us who are searching...I think you are definitely searching in the wrongs crowds. Perhaps if you work alot you should commit to one night a week going to the theater or some place a bit more elegant. You know what they say, "Birds of a feather flock together." Go do something that you really enjoy and if you meet some one that you hit it off with there, the attraction starts from a mutual interest. That is much better than strippers...let's face it the head of the class doesn't run off to become a stripper. Every wealthy man I know who get's caught up in dating these women are miserable after five months. I always ask them why they do that to themselves and they ultimately (and usually) say, "I don't know?" Good luck to you finding true love in this dog eat dog world.

Any man can be tricked once.

But twice? Three times or four? It could be a sign that you've let surface things (i.e., physical appearances)cloud your judgment.

LOOK DEEPER - - women with class don't do what these women do, so if a woman with a scantily clad photo and a good "line" sends you an email, beware!

In general, you have to go looking for the good women and take the initiative yourself. We're out there, waiting for YOU to write!
