Ok guys,

Kundalini - the awakening of dormant energies (sleeping force) within the body that can take individuals to higher understanding, awareness, and other realms of spirituality.

Colors may change, body temperature rises, and a true appreciation of nature and life emerges.

Now, I want to know how many people actually know what this is.

There is another form of breathing techniques called transformational breathing that is also very powerful.

It is more popular in the Eastern world but how many americans know what it is??

Speak up guys.

Imagine how fulfilling life would be to live in a society that took full advantage of the best in both Oriental and Occidental tradition.

i practise kundalini with success and also yoga, i haven't tried reiki. My problem is that i like so much listening to the sound of the heart. I believe i may have overemphasized my heart (and eye) chakra and it is very difficult to create stability in my system.
When i listen to a heart i go totally mad. :) Don't know what to do.

I did both kundalini and pranayama (breathing techniques)

I also did dynamic meditation and some others methods by Osho. I find them quite powerful. It lifts my energy levels and mental/emotional powers. really superb.

I have been studying the energy systems of the body for a few years now. I practice yoga and Reiki and am VERY tuned into the flow of energy through my body. It is amazing when I am open what I can sense. My problem is I don't fine tune it often enough to really use it. This is a wonderful reminder! I often have to redirect some of that energy in creative ways as I sometimes have an overabundance. (smiles)

I have heard of this before, and have been reading many of yours and others comments. It sounds like whether you call it Kundalini, born-again, or subconscious/conscious they are all related.

The spiritual world is a very powerful thing. Unless someone has a personal experience, it can be very hard to understand some of the things that happen spiritually. God has blessed me to experience some things that could not be explained by man, unless you believe.

Also, if a person can get his/her subconscious mind synchronized with his/her conscious mind, then you will be able to achieve all the things you want. However, if your subconscious is not synchronized with what your conscious wants, it will sabotage you from getting those things you seek. It is very difficult to overcome this, but the benefits are 10 fold, if you can!

There are some great books about it, if you are interested...let me know?

When you have every part of your being aligned, whether through meditation, yoga, whatever, your mind becomes focused and your energy levels increase. At the height of this process you can reach a state called Samadhi, this is where the mind is completely merged with the worlds of prefect light, in this state you can experience enlightenment, peace and empowerment.

weelassy1,

I would also say the 3 rd chakra open up also as I know some book which put 3 median and some which write 4 median from shoulder to waiste, if you take the 4 median then the 3 rd chakra definitely opens up. This how it goes from the Biblical point of view it says when you are born again, this is the way it happened to me when my chakras were open by receiving Jesus in my life and heart. John 7:38 says " He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. " In older version it was interpreted belly but it doesn't matter as all the chakras gets opened and if you ever experience it you will know what I am talking about. The experience varies for each individual and I don't know why. Sin has closed these chakras since Adam and Eve fall.

Just wanted to clear this a bit.

Just wanted to clear this a bit.

ToaYogi,

I am curious as to what form of art you have practised ? Taos,Zen and a host of others? Do you have any Masters of particular merits in which you have been a student under?

As you seem famaliar with the charkra then you know the position of the first, second and third on your waiste to shoulder, the first or second is a closed link to God which only Jesus can open, you might have perception with this link but never will you have the real life connection to God, as Jesus said He was the door of life. These charkra gives you the connection to God and will live like Jesus said so many time, the Father and I are one. Jesus said something absolutely remarkable about this.

In John Gospel Chapter 7: verse 38 it says " He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water "

Jesus knew what He preached, as I have experienced the unblocking of the charkra median when I was born again. To me it felt it was the 1 st and 2 nd median but it was very overwhelming; I also read that the 3 rd is also block but I can attest for sure the 1 st and 2 nd median were opened after receiving Jesus in my heart and it was absolutely like free flowing rivers of water. Beautiful loving energy like you have never experienced in your life. Then you know God is true and every word Jesus said.

It is a strange phenomena to experience as some people feel nothing at all but grow in it after accepting Jesus in their heart and notice the transformation day by day but some of us is like WOW !!! what the heck is this LOVING energy which you can't seem to calm down lol.. it is an awesome power of LOVE flowing on many individuals but it flows from the median of the 1 st and 2 nd charkra but I believe the 3 rd also open up.

Once this is done your walk in life will be one of challenges that will bring you closer to God and become one with Him but you will have to do like Jesus said in the scripture ..you will have to abide in Him and He will show you the truth and it will set you FREE. You will only develop in that higher state of consciousness the moment you start applying yourself to study the Bible, also from other readings; God will lead you in the truth as time goes.

If you do that don't get frustrated but look at it as studying for a B.A. an M.A. and a PhD. degree...the longer you are at it the more your consciousness will elevate and know your God and Savior Jesus Christ. All the different knowledge in the world are for our education and spiritual journey but you will find the true guidance in the Bible as there is no other book like it. It will show you the moral compass which is very important is this higher spiritual development as sin does prevent and interfere with the free flow of the 1 st and 2 nd charkra. I'm sharing this from 27 experience, taking notes etc..and not something I read from a book.

BQ

P.S.
I could elaborate more but it would be another book lol..

You just barely missed the first prize:
Kunda is the dormant one, once it finds its path it becomes Kundalini.

The two snakes rising up the spine symbolize the duality rising into unity, the sympathicus meeting the vagus, the yin the yang, the day the night, the love the fear.

Energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine until it is activated, as by the practice of yoga, and channeled upward through the chakras in the process of spiritual perfection.

Am I right?....lol.....whats my prize

Kundalini is a natural phenomenon and has nothing to do with taking any form of medication or artificial mind altering substances. Anyone that claims that they can get the same kind of experiences with drugs has never really had any Kundalini experiences.

How about half an American? *laugh*

Kundalini and spiritual awakening are one and the same. Kunda in Sanskrit is the snake serpent that represents a persons sexually energy. Without sexual energy spiritual awakening is not really possible because it is that energy that rises and transforms itself into a deep trust and love of existence.

Kundal means the curving direction that the energy takes and also means things like curly hair. It's not any coincidence that the symbol for medicine is two intertwining snakes that rise up on a staff. Medicine and meditation have the same roots and both bring about changes in consciousness.

The -lini part isn't hard to understand, meaning the lines that the energy takes while it is rising up the spine. These lines aren't straight lines and the energy seen from inside looks more like two circles rotating in opposite directions (like a washing machine that keeps changing cycles and throwing off old energies) while travelling up the spine.
