You know those metal detectors that help you find metallic objects on the beach??
I need a post detector!! I keep posting stuff here and there and then I forget where I've posted it!! And I'll come across it by accident 5 days later and someone had replied to me but of course I never replied to that person because I had forgotten where I had posted....
**sigh...** and you all thought you had problems....
Just venting.... at myself....

Min (did I ever tell you my grandmother had an Aunt Min?) over on the side of your screen is a link "view & post in forum" Click that. Next you'll see a screen listing the forums, but above the list is a search box. Type your screen name there and hit return. Soon you will find a list of all the threads you have posted in, in chronological order as to the last post - not yours, but the latest post in the thread and the name of the poster. If they aren't a ghost, the post will be there. If they are, it will appear around 24 hours later.

And since you ask, I wonder where the summer has gone, what happened to my gut that I could once bounce cinder blocks off of, why now that I know so much I can do so (comparatively) little, why the hummingbird outside the window makes my breath catch in my throat. And I wonder, as Woody Allen wrote in the screenplay to "The Other Woman," if memories are something we have, or something we've lost?

maybe she has been hurt,,that will surely cause you to mistrust again,,I hafta agree,,along with all the fake profiles on MM it makes it hard for me to trust anyone on here anymore.

No Minnie fortunately I haven't been hurt romantically -- disappointed but not hurt -- I was speaking in regards to innocence lost/trust on a daily basis worldwide. The bombing recently in London, the despicable behavior of psychopaths such as the BTK killer, in addition to the inmates Toonce mentioned in the "Death Penalty" thread, basically man's inhumanity to man/woman.

I hope this now clarify my remark although Scorpio sensed I was speaking figuratively. Thanks again Scorpio.

K3... whatever happened? Now think carefully: where was the last place you saw your trust? When did you use it last? Work your way back... and you'll find it.
Could it be under your car seat maybe...?

That's usually the first place to look but unfortunately it wasn't there. I've searched everywhere and I'm afraid it's hopelessly gone forever.

Nah K3T you havent lost your trust, you have just misplaced it!! It will turn up when you least expect it to!

Awwwww thank you Scorpio, that was sweet. Gee wiz just when you've given up on mankind along come encouragement and inspiration. I guess it wasn't lost afterall.

If you brake suddenly.... it just might slide out from under your seat.... ;)

Have you ever lost something you treasured and thought it was gone forever only to find it again when you least expected to?
I was walking down the street one evening on my way to meet friends and I had to walk a couple of blocks and cut through a side street etc... kind of a long walk. When I got there I realised I had lost one of my earrings and was a bit upset cuz I really liked them. On the way back a few hours later, we walked back the same way looking around on the sidewalk for the earring not believing I would find it of course. It was dark by now and it had been raining and what's the probability of finding a small earring lying on the sidewalk after so many hours??
Well I found it... it was lying on the street just near the car door - I guess it fell off my ear as I was getting out of the car. It could have been run over by a car, or stolen or washed away. But there it was - my lovely little gold hoop!

Another time I lost my glasses - last summer. The very day I was supposed to catch a flight to the States - boy was I annoyed! I looked everywhere I could think of - even in my car, under the seats etc... so I resigned myself to having to get new glasses. I was driving somewhere that morning and a truck pulled out in front of me so I had to brake really suddenly and what slides out from under my seat (the ONLY place I hadn't looked of course).... my glasses!

This one is much more dramatic..... but kinda funny in retrospect...
During WWII in Greece, my great-aunt and her family lived in a small town out in the countryside a few hours from Athens. One day, yet again, there was a sudden air raid warning (the Germans were coming to bomb them) and everyone went running for shelter to some kind of "cave" in a nearby field. My great-aunt grabbed her baby son, wrapped him in a blanket and they all went running in a panic. When they got to the shelter, my great-aunt looked down and the blanket was hollow! Her baby had slid out and was lying somewhere in the field which was about to be bombed!! So her husband ran back and luckily found the baby. Whew - that was a close one! It was always told in a funny vein though and the baby in question grew up and became a screenplay writer and an actor, had his own sitcom, but was always very belligerent and one day beat up a well-known politician in Athens at this politician's trial and ended up on the front pages of all the newspapers in Greece and went to jail for a year and a half. This same person has done many other unsavoury things, - became the black sheep of the family - sad that he turned out that way. Maybe it was that tumble he took as a baby ....
