Spam is a mystery...I think its the leftovers after they feed the dogs at the animal shelters, then they just pack it in a nice shiny tin. Liver and I do not breath one anothers air.
I eat those big fat dill pickles..then drink the juice. Same with green olives. I love sweet peas, except i just eat em right out of the can. Banana and potato chip sandwiches are rather delightful as well. Peanut butter and honey....mmmm..it's also good as a food too. Lets see....frog legs are yummy,,and eating crawfish heads, they wouldnt let me say s*cking crawfish heads. Buttermilk pie. I do not eat sour cream for the simple fact that I am wary of anything that has an expiration date that is already "sour"

Minnie..you are so funny. I can't think of anything I would like to smell on someone's breath, except maybe a mint. I hate smelling coffee breath especially.

Toonces: I didn't know you could even eat possum and raccoon...!! What next?? Beaver...? How would you order that in a restaurant?? ("Waiter, I'd like a beaver please" - "of course Madam, would you like it stuffed? It's our Dish of the Day")

Kelli Minny wrote that one I KNOW you can eat that stuff...My ex even told me how they cook it!!!...YUK!!!!!

My all time favorite thing i absolutely refuse to cook is Boiled okra. It is the most gross thing ever to have a pair of eyes on. It is slimy and when you cook it it looks like snot. That is the closest i ever came to barfing when i first saw that being cooked!...LOL

Stat, I agree about the okra! Forgot to add it to my yuck/slimy list - lol.
Apparently there's a certain way of cooking it that eliminates the sliminess (just can't bring myself to say s-n-o-t.... eeeeeeuuuuww... LMAO)
but I don't think I even want to TRY!

Well where were you when i had to cook it the first time..LOL
Sorry for the gross description but in that one i can't think of another word to fit it....hehe!!

I LOVE black licorice. I hate sour cream. Me and the ex would have a power play. I would eat licorice and try to kiss him(he thinks it's gross) and he would hold me down and breath the sour cream on me which sometimes almost made me sick. One of those enjoyable bonding times but we had fun doing it..

LOL kinda like kiss me baby I just ate garlic! haha

Fried oysters are great but oysters are filter feeders and if you eat them raw long enough I think you can get hepatitis from them.

I love liver and onions and it is good for you, but I don't like the idea of eating brains, or tripe, which is made from the stomach of cattle, or blood, which I understand when fried tastes like scrambled eggs.

I understand some African tribes live on blood and milk from their bullocks. There is a kind of large sausage called blood pudding but to the best of my knowlege I have never seen or eaten any.

I've never eaten tongue.

There are people who eat bu*ll's te*sticles, they call them mountain oysters. I've never eaten them but if I was hungry why not? They are just beef.

I would not eat a snake, they seem to have a lot of bacteria and other such organisms.

I don't see how anyone can stand to eat raw oysters.

I bought some squid and some snails at the grocery store but neither tasted very good. Maybe you just have to know how to cook them.

I once ate some octopus from a small can like from a sardine can and it was delicious. I have tried to find some again but never have been able to do so.

I don't like licorice.

I sometimes feel sick if I drink red soda pop. I think it is the dye in it. One of my kids drank some red soda pop when he was little and vomited onto the carpet. The stain never came out until I had the carpet changed to linoleum. Wherever the old carpet is it is probably still there.

The sugar in cake gives me indigestion and tooth aches.

I hate bitter coffee. I like Folgers instant regular but a lot of coffee in restaurants is bitter.

I have never liked Spam.

The one thing that I most like on my na*ked stomach is a na*ked woman.

That's enough.

Hi Robotics, when you say...

I think the Europeans cook blood pies

....I wonder if you mean the traditional black pudding eaten in Yorkshire (yuuuukkkkk)lol...that is blood with lumps of white fat which is fried and usually eaten with bacon, eggs, etc

Speaking of foods I hate.

Many years ago as a young soldier in the 82nd Airborne Div. Ft Bragg NC, some friends and I had been out drinking all night and while driving back to the barracks we wanted to stop and get something to kill the munchies. The only place we found open was an Oriental restaurant. I say Oriental as my eyesight was impaired beyond the ability to discern the nationality of the owners, as were all my friends.

After much hoopla about nothing the waitress managed to get an order from each of us and left our table. When the order arrived I seen what appeared to be a bowl of tapioca in front of my friend. He began to hungrily shovel it into his face. He devoured it almost without chewing. I had a plate of fried rice and was content.

Once finished the waitress came by again and asked how everything was? Everyone was full of praise at how great everything tasted. Then she asked my friend if he has really enjoyed the soup? To which he replied you mean the pudding? She said, No the fisheye soup?

That is when he began to do the technicolor power-yawn all over the table while I and 3 other GI's did a mad scramble to get out of range.

I think I hate FishEye Soup.

Beaver my god u wear it u dont eat it

Minny you might need to beware where you say that. Those people might think you mean something else....(hehe)

My family is also from Tenn. and they eat anything especially if they are from the Hills. People here in Tx eat possum and coon but mostly it would be the much older folks. Never tried it never wanted to. YUK!!! You'd die of heart failure at 40. Lots of seafood(salmon)especially and i love a good chef salad. That is one thing i could live on. It has it all. There was a place in Big Springs,Tx which made the best gizzards. Very tender but quit those as never had a good one since. Maybe we can have a get together one day and everyone fix there favorite food. Wonder what different versions of things we would have...

I can eat almost anything. My story is just the opposite. It is about something I fed. I still feel bad about it.

I had this cat. When I was young, I put gasoline in the cat's water bowl. I don't know why; guess I was a stupid kid.

Then I saw the cat drink some. The cat started running all over the house. In one room and out the next. Up the stairs and down the stairs. Up one end of the driveway and down the other end of the driveway.

The last thing I saw was the cat slowly layed down and I didn't see it move after that.

It didnt die did it?

What is the oddest thing you have eaten...OK Guys get your heads outta the gutter!!!
Gator for me in Fla!!!

I think I tasted it..but didnt like it...I dont make a habbit of eating anything odd! lol

Ill try just about anything once...if I don't like then I don't like lol Experimenting is how I came to love Sushi, escar sp?, clams, still dont like mussels etc
------------------------
My great aunt in MO used to fry up a mess of squirrels and it is good. You just have to get that cute little face out of your head and forget that they are rodents! LOL Guess that's the oddest thing I've eaten, I've tried Gator in New orleans - it was ok. And Buffalo, tastes like beef. And I don't consider deer odd, we have it around here all the time. Calamari tastes like rubber erasers to me. No oysters either - yuk!

Cats - I'm with you on the mussels, I only like "muscles" on men. Tee Hee!

Toonces.... lmao... I like BOTH kinds of mussels/muscles.... The way I like mussels best is boiled in a creamy white wine sauce and served with french fries and a green salad. And accompanied by white wine. Hmmmm... yummy....
The other muscles... I prefer hot and spicy, served up in a pair of jeans and t-shirt or shirt with sleeves rolled up (no tie) - everything accentuating the positive - and just a touch of after shave.... yummy.... lol

Butter: uuuuhhhm... try defrosting and cooking the peas first sweety... he he he---- JUST TEASIN'!! ;) I'm with you on oysters, raw or cooked. Someone forced one down my throat once and it was so slimy - yuck! Tasted like seawater and was slimy and very slippery - kind of like raw egg whites. I really don't know why people like them.

Scorpio: raw liver?? OMG... Vampire: any day!!

Stat: Read my lips honey (hahaha): I said I HATE HONEY!! LOL in every form, way or manner...

Moony: really?? so you loved liver as a youngster. strange that all of a sudden you just stopped eating it and hated it! something must have happened when you were 9 years old that had to do with liver and your subconscious has blocked it out. Shall we start a thread about Freud then???

Toonces: I didn't know you could even eat possum and raccoon...!! What next?? Beaver...? How would you order that in a restaurant?? ("Waiter, I'd like a beaver please" - "of course Madam, would you like it stuffed? It's our Dish of the Day")

Am I sick yet... no but getting there... one more post from you along those lines and I'll be tossing the proverbial cookies!! LMAO!!

(still trying to figure out what JFLBS stands for!!)

Sure, you can eat possum and raccoon, but not me. That is gross. OK I'll behave myself now. JFLBS - Just For Laughs & Bull Sh*t - never saw it before last nite. Guess you can make anything into initials like- SMAWAH - Scratch My Azz & Walk Away Happy. Doesn't have to make sense! LOL

You know Linda...reminds me back in the hills where Grammy lives when I was a lil girl...my Uncles Coon hunted lmao She would cook rabbit and squirrel...and tell my and my lil sister it was chicken so we would eat it! LOL
