    Maybe some of the guys will wear their leisure suits in Columbus. We could have a Leisure Suit Larry look alike contest. Woo Hoo! (I hope I'm not the only one who remembers Leisure Suit Larry)

    shoes=Rockports
    designer=Levi Strauss; Marks & Spencer
    lingerie=TJ Maxx
    watch=My grandfather's Bulova Accutron
    accessories=?

    I looked at this thread because my dad was a drycleaner and I've had a lot of experience with various sorts of fabrics. I'm also an alpaca owner. In my experience, nothing made from petroleum can match natural fiber. So the only way you'll ever catch me in polyester pants is n my coffin!

    I have an obsession with Chanel purses and wallets..I like everything matching perfectly. I have to have the silver hardware on there with the chain strap wrapped with the leather. I vowed I am not buying anymore.

    I wear Chanel Chance perfume, does that count. 'course I call it "Take a Chance - Pleease!". LOL

    Aw heck, I love an Old Navy tee, was just there last night! lol!

    But there is SOMETHING about designer tailoring that can't be matched, or even explained in writing . . . it has something to do with the drape, the fit, the feel, the design . . . I'm so impressed with the Craft.

    And as for shoes . . . just try tipping over a Manolo heel by pressing on the toe box. It won't tip. It's stable! Manolos also look HOT and are comfortable! Worth every penny!

    ON THE OTHER HAND, there are shoes that cost $500-$800 that aren't worth $25. For instance, if you tap on a Vuitton heel it will tip right over, ditto Cavalli shoes . . . Expensive does not automatically mean comfortable, either. Someone gave me a pair of D&G's and I got 4 blisters on the first wearing.

    As for labels? Cut them off, they itch!

    Good we are in agreement ebay=manolos. thats were I get mine! I can also wear a tshirt from walmart. But I gotsta have a designer handbag and shoes! Nothing else Matters LOL

    I forgot to mention Cavalli. Gotta love Cavalli. I used to think he was weird, but the man is a freakin GENIUS. I never find Cavalli at the Goodwill . . .

    try EEEEE BAY darling! That's where I got my first pair of Manolos! I also found two Dior suits, a Chanel suit, and an Armani blazer at the local Goodwill last year. SCORE! LOL! I just brought them to the local tailor and MADE them fit!

    Other places to score: TJ Max, Marshalls.

    Or Ross or Nordstrom Rack...there are a few others! But you are right...Ebay is the way to go!! Has anyone ever tried overstock . com?

    Yes, it IS possible to find a good pair of polyester pants today . . . some of the better Italian microfibers are FINER AND MORE EXPENSIVE than silk! Polyester is hiding in the big name designs . . . you'd be surprised.

    Designers I am partial to:

    Career WEar: Tahari, MaxMara, Donna Karan, Armani

    Dinner Suits: Dior, Armani

    Makeup: Chanel, Armani

    Vegas: Think "G" for "GO-GO-GIRL"- - Gaultier, Galliano, Gucci, Guess!

    For eveningwear there is nothing like a NO NAME, independent, creative designer who knows what to do with a bias cut.

    Handbags: You can run over a Coach bag with your car and no one will be able to tell the difference.

    Shoes: MANOLOS - - the most perfectly balanced shoe ever made.

    Hey, does anyone understand the appeal of PRADA? I sure don't . . . but then again, I saw some pretty dresses for Fall '05. Maybe they finally hired a designer with TASTE, hmmmmmm . . .
