This is what we do for fun up here..read on..mail sent to other friends...trying to explain big hook at our hometown bar.

Very little of whats been said resembles what actually happened.

A Group of five 21-25yr olds came in and ordered drinks. The older guy at the bar told the younger ones that his girlfriend was in the restroom and he could not sit there-but was OK for him to get his order in. Younger guy goes back to the corner by the video machines and huddles with his buds and points at the older guy and returns and sits next to him. He wants trouble. His friends and him are the only ones who know that a fight is going to take place. He proceeds to glare at older guy with bad intent. Words are exchanged..older guy grabs him by throat and subdues him..younger guy slams longneck Bud bottle into his head 4 times causing contusions- not cuts-64 stitches worth- while one of younger guys buds has him from the back, rendering him helpless.

Older guys friend chases bottle guy out back door and gives him a lesson behind hardware store..Not 4 guys and noone had to pull anyone off. 1 on 1 and a fair thing to justify ADW..2 on 1.. that occured earlier, in my opinion. Last swing older guys friend threw was a haymaker that missed and he fell to the ground, ending it. We laughed he knocked himself out.

Not a pretty sight ..but face it.. we live in a resort town and unfortunately there are groups that come into our town looking for trouble...Usually 5 of them against 1 of us..and by the time our friends get there it's too late. We take care of each other..that's all we've got.

Toones although i am sure that is a memorable horse story it was also a horrible one. To think this idiot would take a creature he owned and do that.
Of course you are talking to a horse lover. Owned them all my adult life till divorced. Most beautiful, majestic creatures there are so i would have done something a little different. Maybe made them dig a grave for the horse in a rocky area. That would have taken them a week. Plus what they got. Cleaning up "Horse Puckey" can get very smelly..LOL

Everyone was horrified that they were so stupid. And no one thought their punishment was harsh enough. For this area they are "big time" attorneys. This area is full of horse lovers. We have the Solid Gold Futurity Horse Show in Spfld every year, and the State Fair is Agricultural with horses everywhere. Actually they should still be shoveling horse manure!

Your first indication of trouble is when you saw someone drink from a "longneck Bud bottle." Ewww. There are a lot better beers out there.

Cats this will all become clear very shortly. This IS a true story, it happened about 3 yr ago in the town where I work.

One summer, sat. night there were 3 attorneys and 1 correctional officer sitting around at one of the atty's houses drinking (too much). This atty lives in the country and as it happened, one of his horses died that day and the rendering company had not picked up the body yet. the drunker they got the stupider they got and one of these "edumacated" guys got the bright idea to tie a rope around the horses head and drag it over the hills and thru the woods, down the highway into town (population 13,000) and drag it around the town square (where the courthouse sits). All 4 men decided this would be a hilarious thing to do, so they proceeded. And indeed they left a streak down the road approx 3 miles into town. Got the horse to the square, and around they went, until the horse literally broke apart. NOW what are we going to do! what a mess! it took city workers and a backhoe with a front scoop to clean up the mess and the fire dept had to hose down the streets. Can't remember what they were charged with. But they had to pay for the clean up and perform some community service (I think part of it was cleaning the horse barns at the county fair, not sure). We just happened to have a bar on the square named "Antlers" (guess what's on all the walls?) After the horse escapade, Antlers had bumper stickers and T-shirts made up with the sayings, "You can drag a horse to Antlers, but you can't make him drink!" and "Friends don't let friends drag horses!"

The prominent attys are still in business and the correctional officer retired a few months later and moved to Fla to work in airport security.

And that, Cat is the horse story.

HAHAHAH Thats pretty funny and what a site that would have been!

Ya know Fun...I probably posted this wrong..I was mad..and inadvertently facetious. It's really not fun or funny and has caused quite a stir in our small town. Sometimes these little Burgs turn into the OK Corral..Clantons vs. the Earps..Wish it wouldn't happen..But it does.

Had a house in Lake Havasu City, Az. ..on the holiday weekends people would literally lock their doors and hide.

Wow WWPT...that sounds like this small Northern town I lived in while going to high school, not a resort town!

I live near several resort towns, Banff, Radium, Invemere, Fairmont, Kimberley, Kelowna...nothing that exciting ever happens there! lol
