Hey there...
As you all know we are right in the line of fire for Dennis. My beach town Gulf Shores, Al is where our house is located right across the street from the beach. Dad is down there now nailing plywood. I do not know it ya'll recall Ivan whom paid us a nasty visit last summer. The entire city of Gulf Shores had to be rebuilt and is still in the process of being rebuilt even now a year later. Real Estate is at a premium and construction is difficult to find and VERY expensive. So please think about us here in the line of fire and say a prayer that it misses us. It is expected to hit Sunday evening and all road travel in the area even up here is supended after nine. I am hoping we do not have to evacuate up here. Again say a prayer.

The mention of Ivan immediately clued me in you were talking about a hurricane. You're in my prayers this night. I hope it will turn back to open waters and die out. Best of luck to you and all those around you.

well sharp better them than us us in louisiana was going to get denis thank god it turned and like us cajuns we like that when hurricanes come we don't listen all these cajuns think of at that time is drinking when they come huirricane parties, and insurance money ways to mess over fema. ha ha. the insurance people. but bobby's folks are rigged up with a 10 kw generator that lights up the whole house. the kind that are in supply boats.

Dennis is expected to land as a catagory 3 hurricane. same as Ivan last year.

Tuscaloosa is under severe hurricane warnings, thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches, and flash flood watches,

Road travel is restricted after 9 pm and a curfew will probably go into effect. Most of gas stations here are sold out of gas and propane.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Yes, we all need to keep everyone in the line of fire of Dennis in our thoughts and prayers. Last year was a terrible hurricane year. just think about having your life ripped apart and rebuilt, only to have it happen again a year later. Keep an eye on the weather channel.

We'll be thinking about you, Ellen...

Wouldn't you consider moving to Canada, all we have hear is snowstorms... no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no tornados (well really teeny ones)... just snow... all you need is a shovel... ;)

Stay safe!!!
