Most romantic places on the planet... Romance

Those of you wanting a more exciting/meaty thread can go and have a look at the "Does size really matter?" forum.

Those who fancy a more dreamy diversion from everyday reality can read on...

For a so-called 'Romance' section, I was amazed that no-one had started a 'Romantic Places' thread - I thought all you ladies were into this sort of stuff??

Anyhow, here's my list to start the ball rolling:

    1. The walk from the Moorish palace of the Alhambra in the Spanish city of Granada down to the old town. It's lined with Spanish guitar shops, so your journey is to the accompaniment of flamenco music from every 2nd doorway...

    2. Sunset on Loch Maree in the Scottish Highlands.

    3. The deserted beaches of Cabo del Gata, in Andalucia in southern Spain.

    4. The ancient city of Petra, carved out of the rose-red rock; hidden amidst the deserts of Jordan.

I've been told that the back of my 89 Blazer is the most romantic place. Can you imagine if we combined romantic places how amazing it would be. I can drive my 89 Blazer to your romantic location and then we can make sweet love in both our favorite places at the same time. I might have to tow it though as it only has three wheels.

One of the most romantic experience I had was in the early fall in Nothern Alberta in these big prairie wheat field, cuddling in a sleeping bag with a lady and watching all these Nothern Lights dancing in the sky for hours in a nice clear sky with thousands of star, miles long Northern Lights putting there show and the bottle of wine sure warmed up things then lit up blissfull sparks in the evening afterward ha!

Another one was in Shenandoah National Park on the top of the mountain ridge over looking West Virgina, the peaceful quiet scenery along with a dusking sun on the horizon..breathless. Same goes for Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper in Alberta and Iveremere and Whistler in B.C. Breathless view in Italy,Austria,Greece North, Switzerland Alps...ahhh !!! gee !! too many places to comment about ha!

Agree with the many ladies also the bedroom is sure a nice spot but I enjoy an open skyview better.

I would recommend the creekside cottages at L'Auberge in Sedona, AZ. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Of course you have to supply your own special person, but if you can't feel romantic there; then a cardboard box may be your answer. LOL.

How Funny, I was going to say the same place...Flag Staff, AZ with snow on the caps...oh yeah...who says you have to go alllll the way to Europe to find romance?

Where I live is the most romantic place in the world. This is paradise. Where you can swim in warm fresh water in the summer, and not worry about some "thing" thinking you are a fish twinkie and the salt stinging your eyes and your lips. This is life...at it's best. And I could have lived anywhere...

FISH TWINKIE!!! LMAO I'm a S. Calif. native I don't take my arse in that water anymore...we have MUTATED "things" waiting to feast upon sweet blooded irish women such as myself...besides what not save my sweet flesh for the baracudas I work with?! Hey...

I love being in bed...but that can get boring...variety is good and no it doesn't have to cost a lot. If you stay at home day after day it gets boring, for me. Obviously we would want to be with the one we love no matter where we are....hey how about hedonism?

If you are with the right person, a (large) cardboard box can be the most romatic place on earth. It just helps to add those little touches that people seem to like so well! (Okay, so I live in paradise. What can I say?!)

I never did it in a cardboard box. I will have to save the next BIG BOX I get...hahahaha

tsk, tsk,,,the most romantic place is actually in the arms of the person u love..sharing the love in ur hearts. so it really doesnt make a difference where u are..it's being romantic, passionate & in love that makes it all work.

    RealD / Butter

We know WOMEN get the concept. It just appears to (just a dumb ol' 50yo male), that many/most/some/lots (you choose) men do NOT get the concept.

Oh JO.. but don't you think that its even better when the 2 of you can escape to a faraway place that you have never been , and to enjoy, and explore together,, be catered to, and think about nothing else,,, just escape...

and enjoy each other and not have to think about anything else in the world?

Sounds good doesnt it? I can definately imagine myself there in that place.. been a long time..

Yep - that sounds perfect to me Butterfly! Real, I totally agree with you about the most romantic place to be is with someone you love but that goes without saying in the end doesn't it - this is about being in a beautiful or exotic location which in itself enhances that romantic feeling even more. Believe me... a breathtaking view or gorgeous location can do wonders for "romance" -lol! But it can be a simple thing too - does not have to cost a fortune or be on the other side of the planet. Being on a tiny boat in the middle of a lake very early in the morning with a bit of mist all around and the sun just breaking through the clouds, and silence all around except for the birds waking up. Or, small fishing boat out at sea at dawn to gather up the nets from the night before. The sea is always so calm at that time, it looks like glass and it's fantastic.
    There I go... daydreaming again..!
