Not sure if you're aware, but in the self improvement thread, Duckie, Manboy, "Woodie" admitted that his acting nice was simply a ruse, to fool me, no less! That in fact he wasn't sincere.

I'm not sure what to say except that perhaps one should think twice before believing anything he posts...

    Speed,

Thank you for the recommendations on the program. They are very helpful. There are many things that I can incorporate into a plan that suits my lifestyle along with keeping that golf game intact. Don't worry about your golf game bud, we all have hobbies that differ from everyone else. Nobody is going to judge you based on how you smack that little white ball around. Thanks again!

Back in the days when Holly and I communicated, she told me to put a teaspon of cinnamon in my coffee or tea. Although,I am not diabetic,I have been doing it ever since because she said it reduced your sugar levels. It seems many spices are natural and can work wonders within the body. Now if I could just stop eating the candy I would be able to really determine if my sugar levels are being reduced.

Oh yeah I did tell ya that, lol!..but petite! you are 5'0 and very petite!! me too! 5'1 and 105 lbs...

I drink a teaspoon every morning in my coffee..
from Mandalay's fathers experience it sounds as though this spice definitely cuts down the sugar in blood levels..sorry for his experience though..

but as far as the diabetes part of it... it was written in the research I read on it prior to using it.. I am not diabetic either and would obviously reccomend a diabetic to consult his/her physician first...

I too drink A LOT of water...now many may differ in this but I do not eat ANY loafbreads or pasta..ZELCH...

I eat mainly veggies, seafood and my favorite....
WASA Crispsbread which is really a flat fiber cracker with no fat and hardly any calories...excellent for you.. put light cream cheese and salsa on top...and even Ken's balsamic vinaigrette on top of that, lol!!!
Voila! Very healthy and ALMOST as good as chocolate..just my tidbits on health as I am very much into staying fit..or trying to anyway, lol!!

Well we may have our differences but you are very fit and look great. I eat Wasa crackers and cream cheese all the time since you told me that too.

Then perhaps you should ask the ladies to help. My method will cut down fat and build muscle and promote general health, strong tendons, and ligiments, run fast, jump high, knock over wall, but it will produce a chest that is hard to swing around. My golf game is a testament to. that..........Ladies........Lad needs some help.

I bet it makes you pretty darn good in bed too.

On water a lot of bottled water is no better than brita carbon filtered water. What you have to do is find the water company in your area that really does a good job of getting the pollutents out. There are water testing tools that can do a percipitation test, a good health food store can provide. Most of the national brands are terrible. You also can get devices that at least do the carbon filtering and reverse osmosis, but I have a company here call Rainfresh that is excellent. Here the bad ones are sparkletts, ozarka....ect. A good nutritionalist can also point you in the right direction. Try to find one that focuses on base/acidity balance.

Thanks for that info...I was going with the grocery store types..think I will check the health food stores out. I wonder how much healthier it will make me?

Thanks Speed. I'm not really one to build mass though. Tone and firmed that's me. I can't build up that much muscle mass for really one reason. I am a golfer, we've established that already...lol. In order for me to maintain a higher swing speed, I generate a huge amount of torque in my lower body including the legs, hips and back. The shoulder turn is also very critical in order to generate that power. Building mass will not allow me to make that turn on a backswing, pretty much the mass of huge tricepts, abs and shoulders would prevent me from being able to generate that power which my game thrives on. The power is not only to hit the ball longer, but to do many things with the swing. Inside/Out, Outside/In, etc...it's critical to have that flexibilty instead of mass. Stretching is also important, keeping those muscles always in a position to do what they need to do to aid my game.

Oh ya, and the chemicals in the tap water were said to have also been in the bottled water from the factories.

I really don't have a sub for Lemon. It is not essential, but really is a good way to get your digestive system charged for the day. Instead drink quality water and nothing else for the first half hour of your day. If possible get 10 or so minutes of sun on as much of your skin(assuming early morning) with the water, and before you shower. Stick to the program, do not deviate, don't expect overly fast results, consult your doctor and strict, slow, steady lifting movements, 3 times a week for each exercise and a year from now you will be a changed man.

Getting off the subject here of sane men with harleys I wanted to know if there was evidence on quality water. I used to buy bottled water for years until I watched a study done on the TV show 20/20. They found no scientific evidence that bottled water was better for you than ordinary tap water. Most people drink it for the taste but in that same study they did a taste test and the tap water came in third place out of many different varieties of bottled water...including the very expensive imported water. Just curious what other people know about that subject???

No alliance here Sugah, I have neither made nor felt the need for one, ever.

I prefer to think of it as, shall we say, "speaking the truth and avoiding pretension".

After your insightful post mentioning the pancreas, and glucose, and the Krebbs cycle all negating the possible curative effects of cinnamon, I was curious, so I typed in "cinnamon blood sugar levels" into my browser and voila, a whole lot of authoritative and truthful information appeared!

I don't expect you to thank me for making sure the proper facts were posted, but I know you'll agree that being intelligently informed is always a good thing, wouldn't you?
