Ok ladies. I have seen in many profiles on different dating sites words to the effect ?If you have baggage, don?t bother me.?

So, here are the questions.

After a man is divorced, what is the magic number before you will consider going out with him?

After a man is divorced, what is the magic number before you will consider getting serious with him?

If he is not a paying member, do you send him a message that includes a way to contact you?

If he is a really great guy, would you lend him moral support to deal with the ex-wife and all the problems involved?

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a year since I posted the original message here. Thanks to all for the great responses. I have relocated and have a good job that is very rewarding.

I still find quite a few women that are very fickle in what they consider acceptable baggage. Oh well, their loss.

I am honing my body at the gym so that when that right woman comes along, she gets not only a very nice guy, but also one with a fit body. The muscles are sore but the body is willing.

I may get a new picture posted sometime soon.

You want me to mail you francs?? Sure, no problem! Send me an email and we'll sort it out. I will be most happy to oblige. With supplying you with francs... or euros ... or whatever other currency your little heart... er .. wallet desires!

Nervy - I've known for days that I made that mistake but I left it up to see if anyone else would. I didn't think Bulgarian horsemen fit because I have no idea what they actually do in Bulgaria. Or Belgium.
Thanks for the currency offer. I will get with you in time...must dig out my money album and see what European moolah I already have.

So you knew all along... hmmm... likely story...
just teasin'.....
I do mean it about the currency offer!

Minerva you little tease! I have to go to Lux to get the francs? I thought you were going to say I could buy them off you and have them mailed! (scratching chin while thinking)

Hi everyone.... talking about little ol' Luxembourg?? Cub, if you had driven too fast or walked too quickly you would have found yourself in either Belgium, Germany or France - lol!
Yes we used to have Luxembourg Francs (same value as the Belgian Franc) but now we're all into Euros. I still have a lot of Francs though that I never bothered to take to the bank. If you ever decide to visit I'll save some for you!

MIn, stop being so negative..you are a lovely lady who could cook up a storm as well..best way to a man's heart..and a vivacious lady with such a lot of oomph..exotic and multi-lingual..have u tried UK match sites? They are nearer and they love voluptuous women with European flavors...also I think not many Americans go to Europe that much for business..so it is a more isolated market compared to London..

Cub39 - yes of course, that makes sense, that relationships are created and more serious pursuing is done off the forum.
I think probably the fact that I live so far away puts most men off. They are scared of the distance and the effort they would have to put into to make it work. (Red flag maybe??) I am not scared of the distance, nor the effort but it takes two to make it work. Or maybe I'm just not anybody's type... lol... (I wouldn't want to be presumptuous!!)

Minerva,
Maybe there's hope for us yet...I have met 2 nice men online and perhaps will meet them both in person soon. They seem like gentlemen, but I'll keep you posted. I agree that I probably won't meet anyone here, which is why I didn't renew, but I'm always hopeful --- well, ya'll it's late in SoKali so I'll say goodnight...5:30 comes early!
Hugs,
Annie

Minerva,
You are welcome to come visit me in London anytime..should be fun...lol
Never been to Luxembourg but will certainly bear that in mind now that I have someone I know there...this is becoming a sort of penpal column..lol
You are right about meeting ones soulmate here..I m here mainly to chat and see what people of the same age and marital status are looking for around the world..hence never bothered to be a paying member..yet I still get male mail and actually met someone and have remain great friends..I guess i have been v. lucky ..or it is just London that is an attractive draw..

lol... I believe THAT Cub39!! Well, I won't mind at all if you say it to Domino -lol.. she also lives in Luxembourg!
Bonnie,
Thanks for the encouragement - I was kinda kidding... but it's true that I certainly do not think I will meet the man of my dreams on this site!! For some reason it seems that MM is more for fun and games than anything else, if we judge by the Forum discussions. Nothing wrong with the flirting etc... I'm doing it too... but I think the people on here who will actually meet their "soulmate" etc ... are few and far between.
I've gotten to know a few people a little bit - mostly women (I'm certainly not ruling out make male friends too). Haven't met them in person yet but hope to do so in the near future and you are one of them!

Minerva,

I think there is always hope for everyone in the romance department ..I hear so many uplifting stories everyday..just found out another friend at 50 is finally getting married after several failed serious relationships...not just that, she is getting a title (Ladyship) too from this very wealthy banker she is marrying lol but she will be his fourth wife!! He is about 13 years her senior but an extraordinary man who is very well respected in the banking world both here and Asia..I had a great time with him at dinner recently and he has impressed me enough to contemplate going out with older men which I have never done in my entire life...lol

Hey that's me you're talking about too - lol.... I'm Aries: impulsive, erudite, charming and wicked sense of humour and I also don't like bossy women! oops... I meant men of course....

I've always read I should pair up with a Leo or Sagittarius but until now haven't managed. Maybe that's why I'm still single....

So who's a Leo or Sag out there...??

I know a spinster-teacher who finally hitched long distance to Hawaii at 55 because he read her published novel and became her fan and wooed her across 10,000 miles..so someone out there loves your lovely posts here and wow..you might just get what you wish..

Hey Bon, you think so?? Do you know something I don't?? Cuz I ain't gettin' any feedback from this Forum about about some nice guy loving my posts on here - lol.... but I love to live in hope....

HI Butterfly/ Robotic,
I m no expert but used to have a good memory at reading palms and faces , no longer do that because I actually did see terrible things happened to friends and though not a believer at all , am now fairly weary of seeing bad things happen..if interested just for fun, there are two good sites for Chinese and western astrology on the web...'Chris Critchlow' and 'ivillage horoscope' , whether you believe in it or not .it is good entertainment...lol
