ScrippsRanchMel and to TheCatsMeow65, you two should get together...soon! You're both just too cute together! It sounds like you might have common ground on how to raise children also, that can be rare to find in a partner. Really none of my business but it seems you guys have chemistry :)

Nikki is doing well. I haven't seen her in a week (except for an hour at the doctors office) because she is on vacation with mom.

I have a tip for teaching children about money. I used to buy Nicole everything. Then I read an article in Money Magazine. It talked about the editors child and how she was trying to each her son about money. Her son refused to take the offered allowance. He said "Why should I have an allowance when you buy me everything?"

The editor stuck it out. I started doing the same thing with Nicole. I will buy her presents on her Birthday and Christmas. Otherwise, her allowance will have to be enough.

The interesting thing is Nicole looks at the value of money. She recently received a $50 gift. We were at Disneyland and I told her she had to buy any presents she wanted. She looked around dilligently and checked price tags. She decided on a matching diary and pencils. They both cost less than $10.

She wanted to save the rest of her money for something else.

Mel,

One of my favorite vacation spots is Mazatlan, MX. I love getting the Mangos on a stick there right on the beach. There are a couple of restaraunts to go to there: Senor Frog's is a must (the chain started there), and the Shrimp Bucket. For a little bit of nothing you can feed several people with shrimp and lobster. p.s. I didn't include the alchohol in my price for that restaruant.

The bug is very cute!

I have a little angel. Nicole is 7 going on 8.

You and the bug have to get out for some fun vacations. I try to take Nicole with me every where.

Did you read my post about the Disney cruise? Seven wonderful days of dancing with Mickey, swimming in the pool, and being spoiled.

Nikki needs a ship buddy. Book your tip to Mexico and bring the bug!

Traveling is a priority for me. I don't want to be old and gray and only have memories of the couch/TV.

anytime..I am a global nomad and travel alot in my job as well as holidays..
Have been to Jamaica but think that the Carribean is overrated, try the un-explored islands in the Fareast..Malaysia, Philippines..and Europe mainly for skiing, France, Switzerland..Italy for the summer and Spain too..but I want to go to Croatia and Prague..the next exciting unexplored territory before the tourists ruin them..any takers?

I am going to be on a Disney cruise with my little angel. Mickey, Minnie, and if Goofy (a.k.a. Moonray's relative) then everything will just work out for all of the laughter, fun, and adventure.
