You said " if you will read Galations, chapter 4, Paul gets on to the christians for observing any religious holidays."

REPLY:This is your problem with your understanding of scripture:........... Of all the people in scripture,Paul is the last one to believe............Paul admitted He lied many times, add that with your mis understanding of what Paul said, you get confusion... This is the simple truth.

First believe what G_D says, G_D gave authority to the Prophets, then Yeshua confirmed the Prophets told the truth,Yeshua said he did not change what G_D said, the students of Yeshua (Disciples) tried to change what G_D, the Prophets and Yeshua said..Paul wanted to recruit gentile faster so Paul made changes. G_D said Keep his Sabbath and special days, Paul said "forget what G_D said,(4th. Commandment) who are you going to believe?............. Never question G_D, always question Paul.

robotic123_74 the problem with your views. If G_D and scripture is not true, how can what scripture said unfold as true before our eyes. How much advance information must you have before you believe what is written is true.
With out quoting scripture verses, check this out, when Israel signs a 7 year peace treaty, you will have your proof that scripture is 100% real.

Over 3000 years ago scripture said, before the signing of the last 7 year treaty, The Jewish People will return to Israel (the land G_D calls His Home) and the generation that See's the rebirth of Israel will see the return of Yeshua. If the above is not true, G_D does not exist and everything written is a lie. When you read about the 7 year treaty, get to church FAST because soon you will be going Up or down.

There are several problems with your statements, first Yeshua kept all the laws of Moses and all Jewish holidays including Passover. Few Christians understand Paul..example how can you be saved by grace from the Laws of Moses if you not Jewish.Only Jews are under the law. What Paul's was really saying is "all gentiles are grafted into Israel as Jewish converts who follow Yeshua, and are NOT required to follow ALL the Laws of Moses but ARE required the obey the word of G_D....My question is: are you going to follow Paul or What G_D said? Paul deliberately broke G_D's law many times and He admitted it. Paul said when he reached a new city he would go to the Jewish Synagogue and tell the Rabbi he followed the Laws of Moses, kept Kosher and was a Torah Jew, they when the Rabbi was not looking he would try to get Jews to follow Yeshua, this was one of the tricks Paul admitted to. Check out John 4:22,Yeshua says "salvation if from the Jews" and Mat.23:3 Yeshua tells Jews to stay Jewish(Observe and Do).Check out Romans 11:1-3. Recently TV pastors are saying. To be a Christian you must be a Jews first. When you read scripture through the Eyes of a Jew, everything changes.Like you believe Yeshua died for the sins of the World But if you sin and Don't Repent he did not die for that sin, Yeshua said if you commit one sin you committed broke every one of G_D's laws.
Theses more going on that remembering who said what. When Paul said"Christ died for nothing" Paul was saying, gentile converts who try to be saved by the Jewish Law do not have the ability to meet the challenge. John 4:22. But the Jews can. Theres more but you get the picture. If G_D didn't say it first it's a lie. At the time of the first church it was required to be Jewish first before you could follow Yeshua. Gentiles grew in numbers and could not follow what G_D required of the Jews so Christian changed what G_D said because they could not meet G_D's higher standards, unless they were a Pastor or Pope.

The Bible says that pi is equal to three. Read 1 Kings 7:23. Pi is equal to the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter. That is 3.14159 +. I guess math was different in those days. Still I guess 3 is pretty close.

In 2 Kings 6:6 the Bible said someone made an iron axe head float. That's a good trick.

In Genesis 9:13 God was supposed to have given the rainbow as a promise there would not be another flood. Does that mean that when the sun shined and it rained before that time that reflection and refraction of light did not happen and there had been no rainbow? I guess not only was the math different at that time the physics of light was different too.

The Bible is not the word of God. It was written by people. It is myths and fables and stories for people who did not have the answers at that time. If you will read it from that point of view you can understand it.

    Spoilurotten,

It seems to me that you have a desire of some type to let people know about the gospel and such but I think that you are going about it the wrong way. Nowhere in the Bible does is say to bash other people with harsh comments and such in order to dissuade them. No, no, no. Jesus said to love others. Please try it. You're being a bad representation to other Christians when you say cruel things.

    Tony,
very interesting and informative 2 postings. Wish others could inform on their beliefs like that instead of attacking others ideas or beliefs.
I always wondered what the heck did baskets, chocolate, bunnys, chicks and eggs have to do with Easter anyways?
As a kid, it just mean we got a new Sunday outfit and a skipping rope. As with most holidays, this has got out of hand.
    Thanks for the background info.

The name of the Easter holiday is merely a modern rendition of the name Ishtar. Unlike the true biblical holiday it replaces, the Passover, it is not fixed to a given date (13 Nisan in the case of Passover), but rather occurs on the Sunday following the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox, just as did the rite of spring. It features the pagan symbols of fertility of bunnies, eggs, and spring grasses in a basket. It features another high day nowhere ordained in the Bible called Good Friday. Remember the significance of Friday? The Catholic Church, which was notorious for blending pagan traditions into a corruption of the biblical religion, justified Good Friday by claiming that it commemorated the crucifixion, but Christ cannot have been crucified on Friday. We are plainly told that Christ spent three days and three nights in the tomb. Do the math.

In short, Easter is not a corruption of a biblical holiday. It is an utterly pagan holiday with a little bit of Christian window dressing. Even the name of the holiday and its date are based entirely upon pagan traditions. Perhaps we would do well to bear in mind what happened to the Israelites as a result of their observance of pagan rites.

    Judges 10:6-7
6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.

7 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.

Have you ever wondered where the odd trappings of such holidays as Easter come from? After all, where does the Bible mention bunnies or eggs? Why does the Easter holiday fall on seemingly random Sundays in April? Where does Good Friday come from? What about Easter baskets? For that matter, what is the origin of the word ?Easter? itself, given that it nowhere appears in the Bible?

Anyone who has actually read the Bible will surely be aware that the nation of Israel was notorious for repeatedly backsliding into the pagan practices of their neighbors. Yahweh repeatedly punished the Israelites for these lapses, but it seemed that they could go for no more than a few generations without repeating their error. Some things never change.

Among the paganisms the Israelites repeatedly fell into was the cult of Ishtar. Also known as Astarte, Isis, Venus, Freya (in the Germanic), Kali (in the Indus Valley) and other names, was featured in virtually every polytheistic religion of the time. She was alternately a goddess of war and of fertility/sexual love. Most of the rites associated with her veneration were quite licentious. These included the use of little figurines known as Ashteroth used as sexual aids. Ishtar appears in most of the ancient epic stories of the Mesopotamian region, such as Enuma Elish and the Gilgamesh Epic. As Isis, she is well represented in Egyptian lore.

The high festival of Ishtar was the Rite of Spring, a pagan fertility rite. The rite commenced on the first full moon following the vernal equinox. The high day of the festival was on the Ishtar?s day of the week, Friday. As a matter of fact, Friday receives its name from Ishtar?s northern European equivalent, Freya (as all our days of the week are derived from the names of pagan gods, plus the sun and the moon). In Italian and the other romantic languages, the name of the day is derived from the Roman equivalent, Venus (venerdi). The festival also featured the sacrifice of symbols of fertili...

You know, this is still America and we are all entitled to our own opinions.....I myself waver from belief to non belief based on my experiences. (God save me from the Catholic Church, LOL...) Oh and by the way, it's spelled TRAILER trash.....and since you've asked people not to use curse words here on this board, why don't you stop calling people who express other opinions names? There is no way that smart lovely girl looks like Trailer Trash, nor will she ever!
