Interesting thread, and this my personal opinion not necessarily what every female thinks or believes. At first I was thinking children, but a man can easily adopt or hire a surrogate to carry a child. Same for a female no need for a man since she can easily get vitro as well buy a dog. So I started thinking taking out the children aspect, and even though I love dogs take them out of equation what is left. This is what I would respond to George, a lady whose heart you have conquered besides being loyal, and honest to you .... She will remain by your side through the good and bad no matter how bad it gets. Accepts all your flaws, and will be by your side every step of the way. A true lady who truly loves you would give their life to you. For example need a kidney she most likely will say take mine instead of waiting for donor, etc. When you're sick she will hold that bucket, wipe your forehead, and remain by your side. She will be the constant strength for you to hold you up when you lose someone dear in your life (mom, a child, etc) Even then after giving her all a "George" would most likely walk away for IF they are shallow person they will remain shallow for life. Most men single men, not all that I have encountered are shallow since I am not a 5ft 10 blond anorexia model with fake boobs or can hear they didn't even bother. And one who I dated even after being there when no one else was after the death of their mother they chose someone who could hear, fake boobs, and someone they considered eye candy in a model aspect. Someone should have taught them best things come in small packages for I am not getting taller ... lol ... So in a sense I can see where George is coming from, but the same goes for a female she can go get herself a dog also. And tell George to enjoy his dog and I suggest he gets himself a blow-up doll so he won't get any std or use his hand, but don't complain when he is in hospital, or in any type of need and no one is their to hold their hand ....
I was talking to my friend, I'll call him George, and he asked me a poignant question, "If a man is wealthy, what does a woman bring to the table?" I told him she might bring loyalty, love, affection, beauty, sex, and other needs for a man. His answer was then all he really needs is a dog and a call girl to fulfill almost all his needs. He then asked, "Is there anything else?" I had to think about it but I didn't have an answer. Maybe women here can help answer this question thoughtfully.
Your George needs a reality check!!
If he truly wants to know what a woman will bring to his table, he better get his a** out there and meet some women who don't expect to get paid on the way out.
I am not a rich woman but, any man who becomes involved with me is enriched just by me being there and I'm sure that most women (other than George's call girls) that he comes in contact with would agree. How could anyone put a price on what another person can bring to his/her life?
Any of us would be made better by associating with a person who is loving, caring and willing to give themselves to us as a partner for life even if that person is not rich.
Tell George that I say; "A woman will bring him the CLASS he is lacking."
Wow, a dog and a call girl? And you couldn't "think of anything else" ? I hope your "friend" has others he can go to for advice because yours is not very valuable, it is in fact quite degrading to women everywhere. If the way "your friend" rates other human beings is by assessing what they can do for him, then I hope he has a LOT of cash he will need it to make for his personality.
Maybe I will get a dog and a vibrator ... men aren't good for anything else.
That is a good question.... There are quite a few "georges" on this website. I've met a few. In fact, they are not wealthy, smart or intelligent, but miserable cheap gigolos looking for a woman to pay his bills. I wish them luck.
I agree not everyone needs a mate. I am happily alone but wonder if romance can enrich my life. It sounds to me that the question is asked by someone who's been badly hurt.
a dog is not human.
a call girl is not real.
They are not the same thing as a real realtionship.
How abaut... been there, done that, everyone should have a Tshirt..."After being married for 40 years, I took a careful look at my wife oneday and said,"Forty years ago we had a cheap house, a junk car, slept on a sofa bedand watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep everynight with a hot 23-year-old girl.
Now ... I have a $800,000.00 home, a $55,000.00 car, a nice big bedand a large screen 55" TV, but I'm sleeping with a 63-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of things."
My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find ahot 23-year-old girl and she would make sure that I would once againbe living in a cheap house, driving a junk car, sleeping on a sofa bedand watching a 10-inch black and white TV.
Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve an old guy's problems."
The woman I am looking for brings her beautiful smile and spirit to the table, it makes no difference if she has big boobs or any money. I hope that we both bring ourselves, open, honest and giving of heart and soul..... ok we all know that the chances of finding that is slim to none and yet here we are. Looking for the magic, some waiting for just the right one, others jumping anything and everything they can. Where do you fit in?
A woman may not have George's bank account, but that doesn't devalue her ability to bring stability, companionship, honesty and genuine love with her. It sounds as if George has been hurt in the past by superficial women and has this mentality that because a woman many not have stacks of cash has nothing to offer. Genuine love is like nothing and money can never buy that. I hope George gets it together because despite all his millions it sounds like he'll end up sad and lonely.
I think the answer is enduring, comfortable companionship.
A dog (or cat) is can be company but never a companion. A hooker can provide sex and companionship but not enduring comfort.
@Orlanda35 - "a man may have a house but who makes it a home?" - I do. I make it my home. It's where I feel comfortable. I do not need a woman for this. I can cook the pants off most women so I hardly need one for meals or, for that matter, any other domestic chore.
