Thanks Bernie. It sounds like the market here. It has slowed somewhat. Houses are not selling overnight this year. So prices are settling a little.

Tall, yesterday I noted that you posted before me. Yet I see my post and Bernie's post, but not yours. I see today that you have posted again, but it is not showing up. So you need to write MM and complain...LOUDLY!!! LOL

Re:

Sharp, your June 7 ppost didn't show up til early this morning. I checked before I went to bed at 1 a.m., and it hadn't been posted yet, but was up when I checked again at around 9 this morning. I did write MM again about my posts not showing immediately. I had paid for 3 months and all that time, my posts haven't been showing til the next day and I am NOT happy, and told them so!!!

My recuperation is coming along pretty well. I only have to take 1 or 2 pain meds a day and becoming a little more independent with dressing and showering. Thankfully, my daughter has been soooooooooo much help. She is leaving on the 13th, and I will follow on the 19th and stay with her till July 5th. My house is now up for sale and I am making plans. I can't wait. This is another new beginning for me, but I am so looking forward to a change of scenery AND a change in my life.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

It's Wednesday 12:30 p.m., I received an MM reply to my complaint about my posts not showing up, they said it has been corrected. A little late, considering I only paid for a month, and my paid membership is up tomorrow at midnight.

This system is so screwy, and not secure at all. A very unprofessional business organization. How they handled my VISA card number being compromised is ridiculous.

Fortunately for me, I was issued a new card number only 2 months prior, so the fraudulent charge did not go through. And people want to submit their information to prove that they are actually a Millionaire on this site? NUTS! I would never submit such information to them. One should not have to prove it, knowledge in and of themselves is all that is important and necessary. One should want people to like them for themselves, not for their bank account, and what others perceive that bank account may be able to buy them.

If a man looks for a woman using his bank account, I'd assume there is no feeling behind his actions, he is merely purchasing a girl toy/show piece on this arm until he tires of her, then NEXT! Pretty cold. But I guess some women are satisfied with that kind of 'love' if you can call it 'love'.

So...will my post show up instantly?

Re:

No, Sharon, your post didn't show up instantly. I noted you had posted yesterday, and it still hadn't shown up at 10:30 last evening...

Sharp, I don't think the prices have dropped much in Houston, but houses are staying on the market longer, so prices will probably start to drop a little at least. Houston is booming with commercial construction, however.

I wrote MM to complain. I haven't heard back. Oh well...June 7 is my last membership day...since my posts are not showing up instantly, I'll know not to bother paying for a membership again in future right? Their loss, not mine. I can still post.

Re:

Rob...are you suggesting this thread sounds heated??? lol Not at all! Tall & I are having a wonderfully friendly chat...for days at a time it is mostly us, and all friendly. What's to monitor? :-))

Hey Bernie, how is the real estate market in Houston? Was it affected by the market correction a couple months ago?

That's what I thought NrML & Tall. I wrote them awhile ago and mentioned it and they told me the same. I'm not to impressed with MM and their service.

I'll write again. You should too Tall.

I wonder if your posts, and others are showing up instantly NrML?

Grad was a hit. The After Grad party was even better according to the kids.

Re:

Actually, when you make a post, you can see that post immediately, but others can't, so it's tough to tell whether it does go thru right away or not!!!
I'm a bit dissatisfied with MMs program as well. The chat doesn't work right and sometimes, neither does the email!!!

Rob is correct. I do remember....if the posts got too heated, the MM gods would monitor them for awhile, but then they would start appearing immediately again.

If this doesn't go thru, then I will write again, but how am I supposed to know?? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! LOL

"Sharp Grandpappy? hahaha! Is that an old Southern expression? "

Yes, Grandpappy is a southern tradition. You should see what he has to say about girls. lol

I am in Texas, just south of Houston. Haven't been back to Ark in over a year, but I wish I was there now. Miss those hills and lakes.

I guess I will let grandpappy visit from time to time. He has some funny sayings. I like the one about "you can't turn a sows ear into a silk purse." So applicable to people you meet. lol

Hey Sharon,
I did write to MM and received a message this morning that my posts were posting immediately, but I know they aren't, and neither are yours. I don't know what's going on.

12th grade here is a Senior. I remember, even tho it's been a long time, that I was so excited about graduation. A bunch of us went to a friend's house after graduation and had a party. It was a good time. I know your daughter is excited about this very special night and CONGRATS to her and best of luck.....

Thanks NrML, for the good wishes. I am getting along better than I expected, but still require the pain meds now and then!!

Hi Tall, yesterday I noticed that I could see both my posts, and in between you had also posted, but I couldn't see it. Not sure when your second post showed up, as I did not check until this morning.

I have a few minutes...got up at 6 a.m. to make myself beautiful! lol It is my daughter gr 12 graduation. Is that a Sophomore in the US? Talk about stress building up to this moment. Pedicures and manicures for her yesterday after school. This morning hair and makeup. Then to the University for Ceremonies. She must take her dress and everything with her when we leave in an hour, because immediately after the Ceremonies we have a wine a cheese party to attend. There is a limo picking a group of kids up at these people's place at 4:30 p.m. That leaves no time to go home and get ready. So all the girls and guys are getting ready at these people's house. I hope they have lots of bathrooms! lol
After that, it's off the the Convention Centre for dinner/dance. Around 11 or so, parents go home and students go to an After Grad party! Sheesh! I never had limos, makeup, hair, etc. done when I graduated. And our After Grad party consisted of a huge bash at the lake. It was a blast too! :-) Good memories.
Well...times up, must head out.

I wish you luck with selling your house. Moving to CA sounds exciting. And to be close to your daughter will be a good move for you.

Ok...I'm off! :-))

Thanks for the heads up, Sharon. I will check my statements to make sure there are no charges from the other site.

I am going to write MM, because I noticed you posted earlier today, but your post didn't show up till just a little bit ago. I don't know if the MM gods are monitoring our posts or what, but yoours don't show up immediately. I am posting this at 9:30pm and don't know if mine show up immediately either.

Hmmmm...I saw that Cyn posted, and I don't expect it to show up until tomorrow, but now I see you posted Tall, and it should be instant if you are a paying member. I'm wondering if my posts are not showing instantly too. Let me know again. You should write to MM and complain. That is one of the benefits of being a paying member. Maybe they owe you an extra month free membership for this glitch in their system!

Anyways, I wanted to bring to EVERYONE's ATTENTION...yes even you Cyn...

CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS FOR ANY CHARGES FROM MM THAT MAY NOT BE VALID CHARGES. On Monday I was notified by VISA, my credit card company that Millionaire Match attempted to put thru a charge of $86.38 on my old credit card number, which was voided in February 2007. So it is no longer valid. I brought this up to MM, they said the last charge they processed was on May 8 to my new card number. Which is correct. I had VISA today compare the transaction of May 8, to the attempted transaction of May 27...the entries are different...May 8 is from Millionaire Match, and May 27 is from MVW Millionaire Match using a different phone number as the May 8 authorized payment.

Fortunately it was my old number, and VISA blocked the transaction, BUT if they had not, due to it being such a small amount, I might have over looked the charge on my monthly statement, and VISA would have paid it out! Small amounts can easily be overlooked by people. A small amount seems trivial, but if you multiply it by thousands of members...it adds up to ALOT of money in someone's bank account. I don't think I'm jumping the gun to suggest that there may be a fraudulent theft occurring from this site. SO monitor your statement carefully, making sure the MM charges are really charges from MM, not someone posing as MM. Compare the phone number to other charges made on your previous statements. If there is something wrong, report it to you credit card company & MM. MM is brushing me off right now.

There are so many things that can be harvested and used...bone marrow, bone, tendons, veins, and fascia. Our bodies are amazing things!!! hehe I have been healing very well...even at my age, but still a little tired. I think it's just the pain meds tho!
My daughter will be here till June 13th, then I'm flying out the CA to spend some time with her and to look around for a place to live and job opportunities. I'm really excited!! Will put my little house up for sale, and hopefully be moved by August or Sept.

Grandpappy? hahaha! Is that an old Southern expression? It makes me envision Popeye 4W's! LOL

But you are right...So I am trying to sincerely move the conversation to much friendlier tones. Care to lend a hand and inspire friendlier conversations on this thread? How are things going for you? Are you in Texas or Arkansas?

Tall...I've heard of taking bone marrow from other areas of the body, but fascia from the thigh muscle ... eeeewwwww... that really sounds painful. Glad to hear you are getting well quickly. At our age we don't normally heal so fast. An obvious sign that you are in really good shape. How much longer will your daughter be with you now, or has she already returned home?

Good post, Sharon.
The surgery on my shoulder required the harvesting of fascia from the thigh muscle in my left leg. It was used to restabilize what's left of my collarbone! Not only is my arm inthe sling, but I was walking around with a profound limp for about a week. My thigh is still bruised and the muscle is still sore and tender, but I am walking normally now.
