Let's not assume that if a person chooses not to date a black man that they are a bigot, racist, prejudice, etc. I have never dated a black men, but my best friend is married to one. Her step-son is black, yet I have treated him like my own child in many ways thru the years. I have taken into my own home many times in the past, bought him food, cigarettes, gifts on holidays, and the list goes on. Thru the years I have also known many friends that have dated or married black men and have been completely accepting and never prejudice. I've had friendships with many black men or women my whole life. In gradeschool there was only one black person in our school and she was the funniest and sweetest girl ever! I've stood up for blacks when others have discriminated. I have a cousin that had a child with a black man, but went on to marry a white man. I have another cousin that married a black man many years ago and later divorced. He was a really cool guy and was friends with some of the Globetrotters that he play basketball growing up. Anytime I saw him growing up, he as the nicest guy ever and we always spoke and got along.

I have dated men from other countries and have been very good friends with men from other countries that are US citizens. Many are the smartest people you will ever meet! However, with all that being said, I have never dated a black man, and anyone that knows me would say that I am FAR from a bigot, racist, prejudice, etc. It is a matter of choice, not color. I don't agree with all the slams here against people. To label someone on the mere fact that they choose not to date someone black is wrong. I have bent over backwards for my friends husband's son who is black, not only financially but as someone that he feels treats him like family and gives him guidance, advice, friendship, and the caring that he is in need of as a person. If I choose to not date a white man, am I called names? Look beyond things and find the person that is right for you!

Whos calling who a bigot Sween? Isnt that like the pot calling the kettle black? - oops, sorry, I know how much you dislike that colour :) Im not trashing anyone, Im asking her a question. Sheesh! Mind your business.
Re:

Sorry Cyn, I played too many teams sports to ever be a racist or bigot. I dont like trailer trash no matter what color, shape or income they come from. I just dont think its appropriate for a black man on these forums to trash white, black, pink, purple, yellow, green women for not wanting to date him. Have you looked at this guys pics? Maybe they dont want to date him because he's buck ugly, not because he's black.

I have to laugh when people assume that those who have some type of unifying relationship are all the same. Do you have difficulty telling asian people apart from one another, or do you believe that all people who practice Islam are terrorists?

Re:

Cyn, why arent you dating this bigot? Dont trash classy, beautiful, sexy ladies on this site for simply expressing their thoughts and attractions.Get it??

Black people need to stop being so sensitive. It is just a preference, that is all. Just like me saying I don't date Jews, or Asians, or Latinos...I'm not interested in that type....I prefer white guys but it doesn't mean I hate these races it just means I am not attracted.

Make sense?

Everyone has their issues. I am sorry you are getting some less than desirable responses.

I take the less than positive responses as good news for me. I was dating someone for a while. On two dates I was kind of quiet and my girlfriend mentioned she wanted me to open up to her. I did and explained I was having some issues with my X. A week later the girlfriend dumped me. She was sad but I was laughing.

Thank god I found out about her strength. If the girlfriend could not handle an ex-wife, how could she handle something like a major illness or loss of wealth? I guess if I got cancer she would've dumped me too.

My point is the ones that are not there for you is a good indication that you don't want to be there for them.

Best of luck in your search.

Don't call me buckwheat! We are all from Africa, and I don't like names being thrown around for argments that are weak that people have to raise their voice and mutter things that do not only not makes things better but make them worse. There now I put a virus in your computer for saying that.

This topic I am sure will bring some discussion if not comment from those who say they are not prejudice. Keep in mind that I never mentioned anything about race or color. I received this comment from a female member, after simply sending a simple wink. Now you tell me if you think this is a comment by an open minded individual. It was not about a dating but just a friendly hello ~

Re:

I love black men, but to each is own. My preference is black but I don't discriminate. I guess everyone has a personal choice. However maybe that is a wake up call for yourself.

Re:

You are not going to change the world here, you know that, right? Would it feel better if those women said, I am not attracted to you? Which is probably the bottom line in situations like this. And most of us are racist....whether we want to admit it or not. It is a human condition. The brialliance will shine through when one notes it, and put forth the effort to wipe its effects on one's judgement. At time time we are successful at this, and at others we fail miserably. Again, the human condition.

As for myself....I am an equal opportunity dater. As long as I am interested, I shall date...:)

I removed this post yesterday because I felt it was inappropriate, on many levels. Our opinions obviously differ, and I suspect that our methods of thinking and views on other topics vary greatly. I generally am open-minded and enjoy learning from others, but Im steadfast in my thoughts on bigotry and stand by my other postings here. So Sween, why dont we agree to disagree and avoid each other altogether in the future.

As per usual I see that you must have the last word Sween. My guess is that its been awhile since you last experienced the real world. Do you associate with the Knights Party or another fanatical organization that advocates white supremacy, anti-semitism, anti-religion, racism, homophobia, nativism, or other beliefs of non-tolerance? Bigotry, hatred and intolerance are not very becoming so I suggest you dig deeper into yourself in order to explore your biases and consciously commit to egalitarianism. Thinking and behaving without prejudice makes life much more fulfilling and easier. My thoughts and concern go out to you; I hope you get the help you need.

Sween, before making haphazard comments about anyone make a point of getting your facts straight, and if EVER I want or need your opinion about anything Ill rattle your cage. I would love to relate to your refreshing and challenging contributions and points of view but I cant seem to get my head that far up my behind. Youre incredibly quick to voice your views of others shortcomings here; perhaps you should take some of the 'millions' you claim to have and invest it in improving yourself as youre nothing more than a shit disturber with too much time on your hands who tries to publicly humiliate others, and in doing so you humiliate yourself and display your lack of mental acuity. Just when I think, 'Surely hes reached and encapsulated the limits of tedium?', you push the boundaries even further. You truly amaze me as I didnt think it possible for one person to possess such a vast reservoir of undiluted gibberish. You prove without a doubt that unutterable nonsense is possible and theres no limit to human stupidity. Clearly the full area of your ignorance is not yet mapped; psychological experts should consider exploring the fringes of that vast expanse and offering your methods of expression to hospital operating theatres as a highly effective alternative to anaesthetic. That being said, I refuse to continue acknowledging your pointless, insignificant, tedious, obtuse remarks and wish you all the best in your choice to display your lack of interpersonal skills and poor mental capacity on this forum.

To quote Stanislaw J. Lec, 'Every now and then you meet someone whose ignorance is encyclopedic'.

Possessing four college degrees seems like a wonderful achievement, however please keep in mind that intelligence is apparent in many forms and is not restricted to those who are formally educated, nor do those with formal education possess all of the attributes which define intelligence :)

I agree but you would think that in obatining knowledge you would also be able to be intelligent minded.

Re:

buckwheat,,,you need to learn how to spell pal, before laying guilt trips on women of this site for not being attracted or for not wanting to date a black man. Sounds like your canadian friend on this thread would like to give ya a try, lol. Why not she did louis the lionheart publically ,then cried after he dumped her. Lmao
