Here's a pic of my Corkscrew Hazel. Its leaves are very unusual and wrinkled and in the winter once the leaves drop, it's got amazing knarled and twisted branch structure which looks good in the winter too.
Ready, is that your view of your yard there?... wow... beutiful! All these are of my second house ...the one im selling... (my house, the yards are completely bare now.. ready for the new landscape... here's cowboy in the other yard, playig catch with himself.. haha
Thanks for your post both here & on the blog. There's nothing I like better than to sit on the deck at night with the outdoor lighting on & candles going & a nice drink either with friends or by myself. It's so peaceful and relaxing just looking at the garden and listening to the fountain. But yes it would be sooo nice to find that special someone to share it with!
I have a lot more flowers and small trees along this fence now, i had just dug it up and started, when this was taken last year, and this area has already been done over since then... I did the slate like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces that dont fit, lol. Its hard to keep them going in this heat.. the summer is just beginning... it's sweltering here!
cutiebooty write: WOW...What a beautiful garden Ready, you must work very hard to keep it looking so pretty.Hats off to you as i have always struggled not to kill all my plants.Whats your secret???
How are you doing? No big secret, just a lot of work keeping on top of weeds and grass growing in the beds, but the mulch really helps too. I asked for fairly low maintenance plants & shrubs when initially planting the garden, and also that something be constantly in bloom & he sure did a wonderful job.
If I stay on top of things every week, nothing gets too out of control, plus I fertilize with Miracle Grow about every 2 weeks & it makes a big difference. Mostly I think it's just now in it's 4th year maturing and that's why everything is doing so well!
